I did not add a vote becasue I consider Turkey already to be a SUPERPOWER the option was missing in the discussion I suggest the creator of poll to addd that option

All of the supporters in this group are waiting to cast our votes

"TURKEY IS ALREADY A SUPER POWER"

So I can add my vote , thank you

Neither İran nor Egypt has the capabilities and the potential of Turkey. Especially Iran due to its extremely divers ethnic composition will be the next failed state in the Middle Eastern.
Other way around I think. You have used all your potential, ties with the whole world, we Iranians not, we've only used a small part of our potential. And about demographics of iran, already 60-68% speaks persian as first language, almost 80% speak Iranic languages, and at least 90% are shia.

-Industry projects condition: Perfect

-Strategic game changing projects such as large warships, helicopters, tanks, long range missiles, aircrafts: Proceeding acc to schedule-Nice

-Subsystem productions on strategic steps: Proceeding well from turboshaft to turbojet, diesel engine, rocket fuel chemicals, LCD screen productions, lens, chip productions to transistors, intensifiers, detectors...etc

-The variety of defence project on each sector: perfectly planned and seperated in accordance with fund requirements. Almost all defence equipments big powers have is under deelopment in Turkish R&D facilities including fighters, AESA radars, AA missiles...etc

- Export success of new developed products: Almost all defence products find a new house abroad which is a good thing for the purpose of Turkish industry.

-All those good planned industrial projects and self sufficiency roadway is enough to be a superpower?

Never! Who wants to be a superpower? If you have a strong industry that strategic products are designed by own engineers brains to provide deterrence enough to protect your regional interest, While preparing proud signature ceremonies to provide cost effective equipments to meet the requirements of friend/brother states, Why do i care the countries' internal/external problems staying thousands of miles away from my nation?

The AKP is the one that transformed the dump you called Kemalist Turkey/Secular Turkey into the developed country you see today you pro-coup boot licker.

Nice, I really respect President Erdogan.

I think someone should make a thread and educate us on the difference between Turkey under the Kemalist and Turkey today but NOT in the Turkish section.

Preferably here or the European section so it won't be closed.

I may do such thread in the coming few days. Great idea.

To be a superpower, one must have that desire. Most Chinese have no desire to be a superpower. From this thread, not many Turkish wants to be superpower. Like most nationalities, most Turks just want a good family, job, security and the freedom to worship, plus experiencing joy and happiness of life. To me that is just normal human life. What would be abnormal is if a Turkish made a movie about becoming a superpower by 2030 and has many European whites serve as servants In Turkish. That would be deranged and despicable.
Lol you must have watched that Indian 2030 video.

.
Such video is best described a show of force using firepower. To make people like you excited lol. Proves nothing, might as well fill 100 barrels with fuel and blow them up for the cool explosive effect.

TAF can't face the ISF, the only edge you have is the aircraft. TAF's current condition is shit, now how many times do I have to tell you that. They took months for tiny Al Bab, Iraq's PMU would've taken Al Bab in 2 weeks.
Sorry pal your country is in 60 peices. You are relying on some militias or something called pmu or something like that. I think instead of being on pdf you should go and fight go save your country.

@WebMaster

I hope you have policies against members of a terrorist organisation who have accounts in the PDF.

The member who opened this thread and supposedly his brother have confessed to be members of a terrorist organisation that has had a past with the AKP and Erdoğan.

Given the fact of terrorists' propaganda tool and methods for their aim, this member is using the privileges of PDF provided for regular people/members and opening such threads using the name of Turkey for the agenda of that terrorist organisation

So,
What is your stance against self-confessed terrorists having memberships and privileges and using them like other regular members in this forum?

I am tagged or quoted but allow me to explain a bit that I have been observing since many days.

If you see any posts, violating Forum Rules then report the same and move-on. There is no reason to accuse anyone for his/her past or for the matter which is not concern to the Forum at all. PDF does not allow such propaganda or any activities at all and mere difference of opinion/political conflicts among members cannot be treated as such. PDF does not allow any kind of anti-state activities etc hence, well defined and explained rules are set to maintain the decorum. I repeat, if you find any post in violation of Forum Rules, kindly report the same without quoting back/accusations and move-on without quoting back that such may lead to flaming & personal attacks on the Forum/open threads. There is no discrimination or difference in rules for anyone so members can report posts as such.

2. A former PM (Necmeddin Erbakan) of Turkey has went to Pakistan multiple times, and returned with nuclear-scientists and engineers - this was a very hidden programme only few officials knows of this and it's not spoken of - the programme was kept on "hold" when Erbakan was removed from authority after Turkey suffered a military coup (back then in ~25 years ago) - what's interesting is, when Erdogan came for 15 years ago he resumed this secret programme (any Pakistani can confirm this?). We still don't know what extent the programme is as of yet.

When there is no confirmation at hand nor any official statement in public domain, I am sure that we must refrain from speculations that too of national level that may harm the quality as well as reputation. If Turkiye does not share such information, nor does Pakistan and there is no official existence then even a bit of baseless claim can create many hurdles for brotherly nations. However, if you have any information which is available in Public Domain, always share source/link to back-up your claims otherwise, it is nothing but derailing the topics and mere intention of useless debate. We all need to understand the sensitivity of the matters sometimes and have to act responsibly.

Thanks.

Turkey right now is a superpower.
on what metrics?

leading in education? ever heard of PISA?
military might?
a leading exporter?
a source of outflow investments?
any cultural influence outside Turkey?

without European tourists, money and investments, you are in big trouble.

most arguments I read here say because Turkey is a muslim county, having a big army within the NATO, equipped with weapons you are a superpower as if religion+army+weapons=SUPERPOWER.

.
I love seeing desperate members trying to ban people or delete posts when they can't respond logically.

It has always been this way, Muslim secularists (not the real ones) have always tried to enforce their opinion on the masses of their countey therough the power and violence of the military. They have never been able to convince people or attract them to their ideology through peaceful discourse. Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia are but examples of this.

Failure upon failure of people that forgot their history and became mere floor mats for foreign ideas and cultures to step on.

They took months for tiny Al Bab, Iraq's PMU would've taken Al Bab in 2 weeks.
First of all, by TAF you probably mean TSK because TAF is the airforce.
Secondly Turkish army has barely 1000 soldiers on the ground, the rest are proxies which are hopelessly understaffed in the areas they have taken, you make it sound as if TSK used all its forces to take Al-Bab while it had just a supporting role for a couple thousand fighters.
But even then needing one month to take a town doesnt mean anything, theres a lot planning and negotiating with other actors in this time frame.
I bet with this logic you also measure the power of a army just by sheer numbers. :coffee:

Lets say TSK's condition is shit as you say, its still showing you guys how its done, speaks volumes.

.
Not in the next 10 decades

1. Not very impressive in S&T
2. Not an economic power
3. Less influence in the world, especially in the region. Iran is way ahead!
4. Part of NATO as block to gain influence , depends on NATO
5. very limited defence projects , depends on west for technology
6. not very impressive industrial background

.
TAF = Turkish armed forces, TSK is in Turkish.
I thought you were referring to Turkish Air Force since its often shortened as TAF.

It's a tiny town, 1000 of those superior Turkish wolves with tanks along with ÖKK maroon berets should've been enough to run over IS in less than 2 weeks according to what was being claimed here.
Not all were stationed there and as said there were plannings and negotiations with Russia on temporary border.
As you know the Al Bab operation isnt being done with ground invasion but with Aerial support and strikes, this requires a lot planning but you end up with less casualties.

YES, TSK condition is shit which is why people here shouldn't even be insulted as conditions can change.
Then your definition of shit is something else as mine, it might got struck by political turmoils for the moment but its far from ''shit''.

Showing how its done.. I disagree, it wasn't a good operation.
Because of what? Apart from some mistakes that could have been avoided it was pretty good considering it was the first real assymetrical urban-warfare of TSK.
