Can the US beat Russia in a conventional war?

Yeah thanks for your detailed analyze. Im sure if such military expert like you will prepare a plan of invasion US will definiantly win using 60% of its military within 30 days. The ground forces from Ukraine and Georgia with big stocks of supplied in advance toilet paper will take Moscow then move toward central Russia while elite Navy Seal group in amphibious armor assault take Vladivostok and then establish complete operational control over Siberia. In the end two groups meets! This is Blitzkrieg!

Seems to me you know nothing about starting a war, or how to position troop on ground to poise a move, then I guess you will never see the valid of my point and only laughing at it. Because for you, Russia will just win, that because and simply because you believe that. Regardless how deposition of troop and a real time situation related to the actual thing going on.

But the end of the day, ask yourselves this question, if you believe a Russia can stand an American Assault, then why Russia do not go all the way in both Georgia and Ukraine? Instead just getting Crimea and South Ossetia and let the rest of Georgia and Ukraine goes to the west? What stop Russia from roll their tanks in those tiny "Toilet Paper" of a country as you put it when you would expect to win even an American Intervention.

Good point, but why would China help either US or Russia??

If Russia do goes to war with the US in Russia soil, China would be the biggest benefactor if China stay out. I mean if I were Chinese Premier, I would just laid back and see Chinese n 1 and no 2 Competitor take out each other. Better get some popcorn and watch the show than to get involved.

russia is a big country US cannot keep it..
from weapons and technology and war knowledge usa can do the job it will take long and will end blody they have to keep the moral high but I think that would be the biggest problem in a war with russia..

What you are saying sir, is exactly what I am talking about. US can and WILL win a conventional war if US wanted to, simply because they are more industrial than Russia and with more manpower and resource than Russia, if Russia cannot repel the US in a short time, and US draw the war on, then the sheer American man power and resource will win out.

I would not go ahead and say the US will occupy Russia after said war, it would probably do what they always do, find a pro-US regime and do a regime change.

Problem is, as you mentioned, it would be a LONG AND BLOODIED war, would American have the stomach to digest it is another matter altogether. There got to be a reason for American to total mobilisation and right now I don't see a reason. And the moral aspect is the major obstacle if a war like that would ever happened.

As for the Chinese intervention. I can, most certainly, say that China would almost certain to play both side, so the Chinese will supply weapon to both side and information to both side just to speed up the destruction of Russia and damage to America.

Then American will have NOTHING LEFT to challenge China and Russia would most likely depend on China forsurvival, Chinese would kill 2 birds with half a stone.

Most of russian missiles are already in canisters and sealed so its near impossible.

well, how do you know what kind of warhead a ballistic missile carried when they fired?

Russian can say they are traditional warhead, but what the US can see would just be a ballistic missile fired from a ballistic nuclear sub. The US would have to assume it was nuclear unless there are tangible way to tell the warhead is not in mid flight. Which is impossible
