Can the Sukhoi Su-30 have the edge over U.S. fighters in aerial combat?

There is an excellent comperrision between American jets with Su 30 is here.

F/A-18E/F Super Hornet vs. Sukhoi Flanker

SU 30 beats American Jets in almost all parameters. Loitering capability of MKI impressed American Pilots a lot. I think Composite and weight reduction measures in MKI coupled with more powerful engine and adding stealth features may make this jet the even more deadly.

Someday I wont have to read about mock dogfights that excludes a decade old + fighter

@Capt.Popeye & @OCguy other pilots (if any) - could you please explain in laymen terms why the SUs in Red Flag needed 60 seconds for consecutive take-offs? Couldn't understand the pilot presenter's point in the video. Kindly explain.

Also - what was that he was saying about IAF sending its best pilots - vis-a-vis to US pilots? (The audio is not pretty clear in that video, so couldn't get certain points raised).

The Flankers were spaced out in the launch intervals because of the risk of FOD (Foreign Object Damage) due to the ingestion of any stray debris (on the runway) being blown up and raised in the wake of an aircraft taking off, by the aircraft intakes in the aircraft immediately following. This interval is used to minimise the risk and thus avoid any needless damage to the Engines. It is simply a measure of "abundant caution" being followed in peace-time ops.

@HariPrasad @Oldman1 @OCguy What stealth features?

Stealth features doesnt mean that Su 30mki would suddenly turn out to be a stealth plane but some modifications & RCS reduction improvements would be incorporated in order to make it slighty more low observable

LIke

1) 1) Highly improved Ram coating which the russians have known to Use in MIG 29 k which have reduced the RCS of that plane 30 times

for eg
Recent disclosures include a coating which reduced the radar signature of the engine inlet tunnels in the Su-35BM Flanker by a factor of 30 in the centimetre radar band.

2))improvement in composite concentration in planes

3) Improved jamming /EW suite

Thank you Capt.Popeye for the time taken to explain this. Appreciate it very much.

SU 30 has been in a dog fight with F-18 Super hornet
It is Indonesian SU-30 versus Australian F-18 Super hornet

Our Sukhoi can beat F-18 in close range combat but in a long range battle since Super hornet has better radar we lost it (just taken from some leak info during Pitch Black 2012 exercises)

Doubt it. Maybe certain planes but even then Im sure with the amount of training hours the US pilots get, its a no brainer they learned a lot from us and will adapt quickly.
