What's new

Can somebody recognize them? (Pics from Shenyang)

The J-10 was derived from the J-9 project, and this is the fundamental knowledge to discuss about the Chinese aviation history.

If you don't have any clue, then better to keep quiet.

I didn't come up with it.It's common knowledge and consensus where the J-10 came from.Perhaps you would prefer a Chinese review of the same;

The development of the J-10 was reportedly assisted by Israel, which provided the technologies of its cancelled IAI Lavi lightweight fighter including the aerodynamic design and the software for the “fly-by-wire” flight control system. The development programme faced enormous difficulty in the early 1990s when China faced arms embargo imposed by the United States and European Union. In the mid-1990s Russian became involved in the J-10 development and supplied its AL-31F turbofan jet engine to power the aircraft.

You should keep quiet and research things more before spouting jingoism.

Sinodefence is still an American website focusing about the Chinese military news.

What do you expect?

. . . .
For focks sake the J-10 is domestic design. Its an evolution of the Mig-21 ie J-7 built using new methods employed on the Su-27 assembly line.

LOL... thts the only thing i can say abt ur post... first JF-17 was based on mig-21... than J-10 was based on lavi, and now according to u its based on J-7 with inspiration frm su-27...:rofl:

.
why India steal the airframe design of mirage 2000?
they didn't. Nore did they use the Mirage 2000 design. Its from the british concept similar to the Gripen, HAL removed the Canards to get a decent empty weight. The production line uses some of the same methods employed on the Jagaur line and Rafale. Hence the MMRCA offset is required to train and finish production method of the Tejas.

yes the JF-17 is more broadly based on the J-7 than the J-10. It was designed to be easily assembled and manufactured to allow ToT to Pakistan. The J-10 uses assembly methods employed on the J-11 line.
The J-9 was a mutilated J-7 with canards and vents below the airframe. Requirements changed after the PLAAF accepted more of a multi-role feature for the aircraft.

indian trolls at it again.

saying j-10 is a lavi copy is beyond laughable.

jealousy toward china by indians is truly incredible.
