Can short range ballistic missiles be mirved?. I read that that pakistan's ghaznavi is being mirved

IMHO, better to make a short range missile that is highly survivable, then to have multiple warheads; keep it simple and build lots of them.

maneuverable with decoys and on a highly mobile launching platform with enough kinetic energy to maximize the ability to dodge ABM systems and go as fast as possible to get there before lasers can shoot it down.

The goal should be to evade any know or projected defensive system at the lowest cost/in large numbers.

Even the BMD argument makes no sense because:

1) India so far plans to deploy a BMD system in Delhi and Mumbai only and might plan on expanding the project's scope. It is reserved for very high value targets, not for battlefield use (think Fatah-1 vs Shaheen)

2) BMD systems, even America's THAAD, have difficulty intercepting missiles. Shaheen-III is already nearly impossible to intercept because it constantly changes its trajectory. This method is more cost effective than MIRV, and could be installed on Ghaznavi - then again, for such a short range missile, why go through the headache? Might as well fire two missiles.

3) What tiny warheads do you plan to fit on them?

4) If you want to expand the missile's size, payload, thrust etc. to accommodate larger MIRVs, you are making a whole new missile. Why not invest in an SLBM, SLCM, or other project.

By constantly changing trajectory of shaheen 3 missile you mean PSAC or an MARV. Can you kindly elaborate what kind of in flight manevuerability shaheen series of missiles have. In the past 2 to 3 years shaheen 1A have been tested several times are they testing marv on it or something else. If this is the case than i think P282 antiship missile is also related to it. Mean like why test the same missile over and over again. Any thoughts on that and do you guys think pakistan by know would made any kind of effort to build marvs

Warhead stealth and maneuvering plus decoys are best approach.

How stealth can be achieved for a ballistic missile warhead?? Plus maneuvering in what sense? MARV or PSAC
If a massive bomber can be shaped to have the radar cross section of an insect.....a much smaller warhead can also be shaped to have a low RCS. Warheads that follow a simple parabolic trajectory can easily be intercepted. If they move even just a little......calculation on the defender side go up significantly.

Not saying, Shaheen series is not great.
Just to satisfy our theoretical calculations.

For under 1000km : Supersonic and subsonic cruise Missiles are best choice for us.

For under 500km,Fatah series rockets will eventually evolve into our own Russian Iskandar type missile.

No need to make short range missiles too expensive. we should just decrease their apogee upto about 50-70km( basically need for Nasr 2).
This will do the job for tactical purposes.

Any idea of whats been happening to shaheen 1A. They tested it quite alot times in the past 3 years?? What kind of new design parameters they have been testing and revalidating

There's no reentry vehicle in those short range missiles as they never leave atmosphere, and no re entry either.
These missiles are not big enough to carry more than one warhead.
For comparison Abebeel Upper stage diameter is 1.8 meters and carries 3x, 70-75 cm diameter warheads.
Abdali has 80cm diameter, I guess, and can carry one warheads only.

Likewise for dispensing MIRV on different targets, the warhead carrying stage has to aggressively twist and turn , while also flying at Mach stupid, and thats possible due to emptiness of space as no air friction.
Such maneuvers are impossible in atmosphere.
