Can Pakistan Upgrade the two Agosta-70s in 2003?

Man! They have missed the opportunity of not producing 7 of these and upgrading the 2 A-70s. They can name it as Agosta-90Ps. If we done that earlier then we might have 7 AIPs subs along with 2 A-70s that we can only use to patrol the those maritime areas that cam under Pakistan control. IN would be scared of their presence(A-90Ps). But the current time tells to do a JV with Germans on their next subs.

With all these goodies how can we say that its not a capable platform. Hmmm... A great chance that has been missed again...

Can we (or the French) come up with an Agosta 90C ? Or has the design reached its limits ?

Too bad we dropped the type 214 German Submarine contract. I guess we decided to go with the Chinese Qing class submarines instead which may be a better option in the long term.

I think Time to upgrade the 2 Augusta 70B are over , since these subs are 33-34 Yrs old , and Any MLU will take 18 months to 2 yrs , and even after a significant upgrade the subs would only be able to serve for 5-7 yrs

You guys should have started the MLU in early 2000s like op says

Even India began the MLU of first Kilo class Sub inducted in 1986 , between 1999-2001, and over the last 10 yrs 5 Kilo class Subs have COMPLETED MLU , with 2 currently undergoing MLU and to be delivered in July 2012 , March 2013

we have no other option 1st chinese sub will come in 2016-17 may be

agosta 70's can fire both exocet and harpoons. so it remains a potent platform. we need to replace the retired daphne's soon.

first we started off with the U214 then we said let's just go for the Chinese subs & finally i guess we will say let's just not upgrade anything atleast just keep these subs afloat!!!!!!! sadly navy has always been neglected!

But now I am quite sure that PN and China might have started JV in SSKs and May be SSBNs (if and only funds are available). And the SSKs would be inducted in like 7 SSKs in every 5 years. INSHA ALLAH Ameen.
