I think all indian kilo class submarines are upgraded and can carry Klub now.They cannot carry nuclear warheads.

Only one sub was sent in 2008 for Klub class missile launcher fitting...Mainly because India was not satisfied with the missile's performance as most tests were failures..

INS Sindhugosh and INS Sindhuvijay have already been equipped with the Club-S cruise missile systems.

The upgrade wasn't smooth. After INS Sindhuvijay was upgraded, six test firings of the Club-S missile in 2007 failed and India refused to accept the submarines which spent two years in Russia. The technical glitches were eventually sorted out.

The Zvezdochka shipyard will install Club-S cruise missile systems on four Kilo class diesel submarines in service with the Indian navy in the next five years.

"The new missile system will be installed on the INS Sindhuratna, INS Sindhuraj, INS Sindhushastra, and INS Sindhuvir. The retrofit will be carried out at Indian shipyards," the shipyard in northern Russia said in a statement in September 2009.

Ofcourse, klub-S are not nuclear capable as that would had mean violation of NPT by Russia.

Can't Pakistan purchase some technology from Iranian Navy! It will be good cause Iranians already got the know how and they can strike the Aim point with 100% accuracy. It will be good purchase. If India can look for Israel to build drones and Air force, Pakistan should, I will say 'must' go to Iranian Technology.

@Safriz you might be forgetting the K-15 Sagarika which is due for testing from a pontoon as well as the INS Arihant.

It has already been tested from a pontoon .

1) Contrary to popular perception, the IN’s undersea warfare capabilities have increased exponentially over since 2001, with all nine Type 877EKM SSKs and four Class 209/Type 1500 SSKs have been subjected to ‘deep’ upgrades in successive tranches. Consequently, the former can now launch both Novator 3M54E Club-S 220km-range supersonic ASCMs as well as 290km-range 3M14E subsonic land-attack cruise missiles. The four Class 209/Type 1500 SSKs on the other hand have the same on-board sensors and combat management system as those on board Class 214 SSKs. As for the six CM-2000 Scorpene SSKs on order, the first vessel will be ready for commissioning by August 2015, with the remaining five entering service at successive nine-month intervals, with the last SSK due to enter service by May 2019.

K-15 is a ballistic missile and will need new subs,the Arihant class,and both are 'to be' tested,and have many issues.

K15 has been tested many times from land as well as underwater pontoon.

Arihant has already completed harbor trial and is in the process of it's first sea trial .

And it would be nice if you could elaborate on the issue part .

Babur exists,Agosta-Khalid exists.and both compatible to each other. India currently dont have a missile compatible to any submarine.
So there is the difference.

All you need is a slcm version of babur.

Plus K-15 has same range as Babur.
