Can India destroy Pakistan's nuclear arsenal?

Yes they can. But for that they have to grow some f*cking balls

.
At the start of first gulf war in August 1990 Iraq had 36 Mobile Scud missile launchers.
Throughout the war USA used all available assets to try locate and destroy Iraqi missiles. That included 24 hour surveillance by Air Force , satellites and ground troops.
Throughout the 5 month war, the Iraqi Scud launchers were located only 42 times, and only 8 times actually attacked. Iraq continued launching scuds throughout the war.
At the end of the war when UN inspectors went to Iraq, they found 19 Scud Missile launchers and 62 Missiles intact and in usable shape.
That was after 2000 air force flights solely to search and destroy Scud launchers, 300 Tomahawk Cruise missile attacks and 88500 Tons on bombs dropped on Iraq during war and no account if Artillery shells and Rockets used.
Then there is India who say they can "Easily" search and destroy Pakistani missile launchers.

and that too scuds... which needs hours of fuelling before launch... like prithvi

Point is that even after that might Air power and Satellite imagining US was unable locate SCUD's and destroy it, they eventually have to send in the SAS to search & Destroy missions .. and I am pretty Sure that India is no where close to what US have back and even today .

Thanks for sharing.

IAF will never have air superiority over Pakistan skies for such an adventure. PAF will also mobilise retired aircrafts for point defence, if need be. IAF air bases and FOB's will also be on watchlist of PAF for air/CM strikes. A good assortment of PA gunships/UCAV's will be in place for IA armoured forces.

I hope they try one day
Its going to be a disaster for both countries, not just lives lost but economically too. Both are developing nations and will lose path to progress through an all out war.

India did not have the balls to do anything silly in the 1980s when Pakistan’s nuclear program was in its infancy. It’s today argued to be the fastest growing nuclear program in the world with more nukes than India. India does not have the capacity, will nor courage to do anything against Pakistan’s nuclear program. It never did nor will it ever. Everything else, like it’s mythical surgical strikes, is to feed domestic appetite that’s accustomed to Bollywood theatrics.

Adults shouldn’t be wasting their time discussing such absurd claims.

Let's analyze the assumptions in OP and other posts on the thread:

1. Just as Iraqi missiles could not be found, so Pakistani missiles can't be found. This view ignores geographical dissimilarities, state of technology, and the cost/benefit analysis of US forces at the time. Pakistan lacks strategic depth, India will be technologically backed by USA and Israel, and the US forces in Desert Storm took a calculated risk knowing the destructive capability of scuds. India will not attack until there are guarantees about locating and/or neutralizing Pakistani nukes. There are two important elements for location: technological advancement and subversion by buying out key personnel. First of all, in order to be useful, a tactical missile needs to be located within a certain geographical area, which limits the search area. Then, modern satellites have unprecedented resolution in all parts of the spectrum. Advances in nano-technology mean that tiny sensors that look like dust can be spread. Even commercially, very low powered sensors are available that provide satellite connectivity. Regarding buying out generals, everyone knows how that stands. Next, in terms of neutralizing tactical nukes, there are a range of modern options available. This includes EMP weapons to take out electronics, directed energy weapons to cause structural damage, and finally, even regular air defence systems. There is armor available to protect against neutrons from a neutron bomb. Finally, spearhead batallions can simply be used as cannon fodder by the Indians.

2. Second, the view that human and environmental cost would be a deterrent. For WASPs in the White House and Hindu Fundamentalists who consider Mother India broken into two, these things are meaningless. WASPs would consider the elimination of 300-400 million illiterate brown skinned resource drags to be a gift to the civilized world. And Hindu Fanatics are just that: fanatics. Second, the US and Russia have in combination done more atmospheric tests than the damage by all Pakistani tactical nukes. And tactical nukes being neutron bombs are low on environmental impact by definition.

So, this is the Indian plan: to attack after neutralizing tactical nukes with such force that strategic assets can either not be used, or if used, can be dealt with BMD systems, space based assets.

In this perspective, credible second strike through nuclear submarines that can be dispersed throughout the oceans becomes the need of the hour.

Second, premiers of Japan and Australia should be sat on a table and the question asked point blank: Why are you supporting Indian ambition of nuclear war through the NSG waiver? If an answer is not forthcoming, then understand this: India is being propped up by world powers against Pakistan and its nukes. Our only option is to prepare a very credible Global Samson Option that is always ready at a moment's notice. This means, nuclear explosions so huge, that they WILL ACTUALLY destroy the globe.

I think there is more to it than just public consumption. It is not coming from politicians rather from the highest of their military command who generally don't need to issue such statement, they don't have to run for elections.

India has been working on the cold start doctrine for more than a decade and initially they denied but now they have acknowledged its existence. However Pakistan prepared suitable response that put the CSD into the cold storage.

But India is our veritable enemy and it is doing whatever it can to destroy Pakistan and now their lunacy has gone up a few notches and their politicians have claimed that in case of a nuclear exchange india may loose 100-200 million people but Pakistani will be annihilated. So Pakistan needs to up the game and let them know that in case of a nuclear exchange, you are looking at a minimum of 900 - 1100 million indians dead. We need to redefine the deterrence as per the new challenge by the emeny...i.e. the total annihilation of it.

Not completely, but the opposite is also true. Both sides aren't stupid enough to test this theory.
