I can see the next war between India and China to be very bloody. This time around, a clear winner would impose harsh terms on the loser if it ever escalates beyond a simple border skirmish. And of course, if a large-scale nuclear exchange is avoided.
Given the amount of strategic depth of both countries, neither side would be willing to back down until either side collapses.
I can see a victorious China securing the borders by supporting independence movements in NE India, creating border states as a buffer zone to South Tibet and driving India back to the Siliguri Corridor. It's a Bangladeshi's best dream, to be a regional hub, and have the Indian border on only one side of the country.
Not to mention all the extra cricketing states in the world.
In the west, an Independent Kashmir might be supported by Pakistan and become a reality too.
Of course if India wins, it'll be the end of the CCP, but due to internal collapse rather than victorious Indians marching in Beijing.
Any war would have lasting generate lasting hate between both Chinese and Indians, similar to China-Japan and S.Korea-Japan animosity. Neither are good things.
