.
Checkout Digital Photography Review: Digital Photography Review for good camera ratings.

Higher zooms dont provide good image quality and are hard to focus. You can buy a good **entry level** DSLR in $400-500 with good image quality ,changeable lens (costs more for zoom & heavier).

If you are only interested in simple to operate see & shoot canon or sony should do. Will get a good ones for $200+ having latest bells & whistles like wifi etc.

If you want zoom + quality you need to look for prosumer cameras , some thing like Canon PowerShot SX530 HS: Digital Photography Review

Dont go by "X" factor like 12X,50X...etc they are misleading ,you need to look into focal length eg 24mm-1200mm for comparing zooms.

It is not the camera that makes for great photos, but the photographer's eye behind it. That is what matters more. Any recent decent mid-priced camera will take great photos.

1. 63x zoom won't do you much good. As most likely the lens will have variable focal length and you will need a tripod to shoot with it and also the pics won't be much good in absence of 'ideal' conditions.
In laymen terms, its useless.

2. Max pixels beyond 20 MP or so are also not of much use to an average photographer. For example, you need higher pixels only if you are making a poster out of it, in that case higher the pixels- sharper the resolution.
@Imran Khan saab ab agar aapko bade poster nahi chapwane to itne megapixels ki bui zaroorat nahi paregi.

Options:

1. If size is not a problem, then any entry level DSLR will be fine. Sony, Canon, Nikon all are good at this price (400$) point and will give similar results. Chose what looks good to you.

2. If you hate these big bulky cameras but love the picture quality then go for mirrorless. At your budget, I shall suggest Olympus PEN series. For mirrorless avoid Nikon or Cannon and stick to Olympus.

Size and shape of these is equivalent to any other 'normal' camera and hence lacks the form factor. However the picture quality is incomparable to run of the mill Rs. 10k cameras from usual suspects.

Mirrorless cameras are in craze these days, whats up with that?

Best of both worlds. Size to fit in palm of your hand and picture quality as good as a conventional DSLR. Win Win
