WASHINGTON —
A woman in the western U.S. state of California has been sentenced to 50 months in prison for "conspiring to export and cause the export of fighter jet engines, an unmanned aerial vehicle - commonly known as a drone - and related technical data to... China."

A U.S. Justice Department statement says 45-year-old Wenxia Man, also known as Wency Man of San Diego was convicted of the crime on June 9.

Prosecutors say evidence shows that between March of 2011 and June of 2013, Man conspired with a contact in China named Zhang Xinsheng to send equipment that included engines used in the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, the F-22 Raptor fighter jet, the F-16 fighter jet, and the MQ-9 Reaper/Predator B Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.

Man described Zhang as a "technology spy" who worked on behalf of the Chinese military to copy items obtained from other countries, and stated that he was particularly interested in stealth technology, according to the statement.

In May, the U.S. defense department released a report on military and security developments involving China that said Beijing is using extensive cyber and human espionage to acquire foreign military technology.

Even F-16 engine is still the target of China, LOL.

. . . . .
There is no such thing as a bad technology. Even old technology can show you about the development your rival were working on. So you can create better and neutralize it.
I didnt call that as bad, it's good but not best.
Maybe F-16 engine is still better than Al-31

. . . .
Chinese experts can take help from their allies who operate these jets. I hope you understand what I mean by 'ally' here.

:coffee::coffee: The question is: "Does USA trust its ethnic minorities?".

It is well documented that US thru' FBI harassed Chinese American Scientists and to them, everyone of them is a spy for China since Senator Joseph R. McCarthy and his supporters in the 1940s and 1950s.

Take the case of Dr. Wen Ho Lee, a Chinese American and former Los Alamos nuclear scientist, was suspected of spying for China and held in solitary confinement for nine months without bail.

A total 59 counts against Dr. Lee were vaporized and reduced to a single felony to which Dr. Lee plead guilty in order to be released.

Spying? Of course NOT-- but mishandling classified documents which appeared to be a norm for everyone else except for a Chinese American scientist.

There was never an espionage charge, and Dr. Lee continue to deny until today of ever giving any information to China.

 So what do I think of the case above. The US's trick is to slander China and accused her of spying.

It is UNIMPORTANT as to whether it is true or NOT. This is the VOA which is primarily created a a PROPAGANDA tool for USA since WW2.
