mate why venting anger on R.S.S.!in those days R.S.S. had an active present in Bengal province and many Bengali middle-class families(including mine) were staunch supporters of that organization because it was a patriotic and nationalistic organization.the Calcutta riots could have been a lot uglier if there was no R.S.S. at that time in Kolkata.R.S.S. formed defense committees in most of the "Paras" of North Kolkata at that time(believe me as my family belonged to North Kolkata).these defense committees fought back those rioting mullahs and thanks to them Kolkata didn't experience anything in the line of Rawalpindi or Lahore.

Muslim League started riots in Calcutta attacking Hindus for which Hindus retaliated. Direct Action Day's main plan was to plunge into messy riots so that Congress agreed to their Pakistan plan. Muslim League itself was the party of zamindars and nawabs and Bengali Muslims saw it as a savior against feudalism.

First of all my state doesn't control the Border, BSF do, and very few of BSF troopers, who let the smuggling and illegal immigration to carry on without any resistance if they get their share of moolah in form of bribery, are Bengalis. It's more like my state is suffering because of corrupt BSF personnel of other states. mostly Bihar, UP and Assam rifles.

Secondly, please don't insult Indian Bengali Muslims, they are as much Indian as you are and probably have done for the country more than you ever will. Indian Bengalis irrespective of their religion tend to put their ethnicity before religion, don't make up your mind watching the Jamatis here.
