Cabinet has declared medical emergency in country, says Rashid

• Cabinet deliberated upon following the measures taken by China to tackle with the epidemic: Health minister.
  

(Karachi) Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid said that the cabinet has declared medical emergency in the country.

Addressing a press briefing in Lahore, she said that hospitals across the province have been put on high alert. She maintained that those showing coronavirus symptoms will be kept in quarantine and will only be allowed to go after confirmation that their tests are negative.

The health minister pointed out that the cabinet deliberated upon following the measures taken by China to tackle with the epidemic. “The Chinese government has effectively countered the outbreak."

Rashid highlighted the coronavirus has spread across the globe but it could be countered by taking timely steps and measures.

She said the government and the health ministry are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared to deal with the epidemic.

Yeah! Today China has asked countries to lift sanctions on Iran so that aid and other humanitarian relief can be delivered in time to the people of Iran. I think countries including the UN should tell the US to **** off and start providing assistance to Iran. They are in bad shape and if this allowed to spread, it will have devastating consequences not just for Iran but the entire region and world in general.

I have sympathies for the people of Iran but can't say the same for their govt.

In any case we need to close our border. Any zaireen stuck there should be taken care off by Iran considering all the $ that they earn from them. After all they were the ones responsible for not starting quarantine at the religious sites.

We need to take precautionary measures before we become a worse version of italy.
