I hope both the bills will get passed in rajya sabha where Congress is in NO mood to cooperate with modi sarkar. They'll oppose every single bill modi sarkar will bring in the house.

When Congress brought FDI, BJP opposed it..

We have to pay for what we use right. Why ask for subsidized prices. Let it be just and fair pay as you use.

Its not you or me am talking about. Its those of us who cant speak english, streetside vendors, drives taxis in cities, labours in a building construction somewhere.......

IR is the only means of MASS transport in India, and our mass doesnt comprise of tatas and ambanis or even likes of you and me. Simple reason of me asking for subsidized prices is that many indians cant affort 40rs for a 40km journey. And for those of us who can, there are other means apart from trains.....

They do not have the numbers to oppose anything - neither in the RS - they'll need all non BJP parties to side with them to oppose anything. The NDA can call for a joint session if they want to.

While not directly connected to this discussion, too many people imagine that there can be something called cheap cost of travel in railways (even lower than actual cost) by diktat. Doesn't work that way. The bill always has to be picked up. Whether by the tax payer in general or by the actual traveler. Cost goes nowhere. What makes more sense? User paying or everyone paying?
