I am disappointed to say the least

If an Indian thinks that Russia needs Gwadar

We just sold a HUGE functioning PORT -- Vadinar port in Gujarat
and a 20 million tonnes Refinery to RUSSIA for 13 billion dollars

Well It's not what we think... even a layman knows Chabahar would be more feasible to Russia than Gawadar. But brothers across the border thinks Gawadar is everything..

What Indians missing here is China , India + USA vs China . And Russia will defiantly prefer China , now don't ask childish question how and y .
Its not Pakistan , we are just taking advantage which came by nature " Indian moving towards USA and China having more dipper Relations with Russia also add EU+USA moving against Russia .

" What does Pakistan bring to the table "

To have Pakistan support is something to be cherished by powers to be. For Russians it will be nothing short of a coup if they manage get Pakistan support on geopolitical issues, a country which once was their enemy and a solid ally of America. This will encourage others to follow suit specially in Muslim world who themselves are tired of American duplicity. The ramifications are huge.

But for the Russians, having witnessed the western encroachment on its western flanks, trying to block their access to outside by instigating Ukraine crisis , Crimea, the upper basin of black sea, and then in lower basin of black sea in Bosporus, when Turkey and Russia nearly went to war, it is in Russia own interests to have immediate rethinking about its access to outside world when it comes to trade and economy. They already have strategic ties with China and through China they are getting close to Pakistan, which eventually will connect them to CPEC, directly via China, bypassing all the "stans" of central Asia who are in American sphere of influence.

If you know your geography, you will understand this. This is much bigger then a certain third world country boosting about few billion dollar of deals in defense sector with Russia.

During the cold war era, India had a strategic relation with Russians and economic relations with the US and other NATO countries.
India balanced her relations with Israel, USA and Iran.
India has balanced relations with KSA and Iran.
India had balanced relations with both Russia and US during Crimean crisis.

Russia is just testing the waters of a new possible axis of China, Turkey and Pakistan because of her issues with USA and India's growing proximity with the USA. But not to forget that Turkey is still a NATO ally, Pakistan will jump into American lap at first signal given to them by Americans and not to forget that if Russia refuses to be the second fiddle of the USA, she will refuse to do the same with China. International relations are not as simple as some make it sound like that.

what pakistan brings on table is to monitor every way to central Asia. in sea with heavy navy in case of check and balance on trade which done by some foolish country on air good airforce in case of air lift by some fools in neighbor . we dont need to do anything.. just we need to look these two things very carefully. these two things bring every stupid on talk table.... got it kid
