By embracing India's anti-Pakistan policy, Kabul risks peace in Afghanistan

Hi ..
I'm a pakistani and I want to know that why afghanistan keeps blaming us for sponsoring terrorism ? What's the reason for this all ?
It's very surprising that president of a country spoke like this. It carries weight .

We pakistanIs ourselves have been victim of wrong decisions by our government in past history .
We also got some wrong men from military to rule us so I personally do not believe in my military blindly ,I'm neutral , I hold belief that humans are not infallible and they can make mistakes .

Is this government really creating terrorists on our name ??
Your question needs a complete insight to the Afghani history and needs detail analysis of events that have been occurred for past seven decades in Afghanistan.

Now, (the terrorist part) it also depends what you call a terrorist ? If you see from Indian perspective you will find people fighting in Kashmiris as terrorist, and if you see Pakistan point of view, you will find TTP/BLA as terrorists who are being supported by Afghanistan and Indian nexus of evil.

Hence, terrorism is a subjective phenomenon, if Afghanistan is blaming Pakistan for such kind of act it must not be taken seriously because first of all the govt of Afghanistan is not a true re-presenter of Afghan people.

Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani played in the hands of his host at Amritsar; he lambasted Pakistan, he attacked the country. Alas, Kabul’s dilemma has never been lack of wealth but dearth of statesmen; thus the man from the Heart of Asia spoke India’s mind.

For the Karzais, Ghanis and Abdullahs of Afghanistan, the country is a podium and a goldmine. For much of the Afghan politicians and their Indian patrons, Afghan history is either 5000 years old or began right with the events of 9/11. Where were these politicians when the Soviets backed by India launched a full-scale occupation using every resource from brute air power to deadly land forces?

Ashraf Ghani left Afghanistan in 1977 for Denmark and eventually the US. The man returned to Kabul in December 2001 to become Hamid Karzai’s top financial advisor. Mariam Ghani, the Afghan president’s daughter, still resides in the US, her birthplace. She occasionally visits Kabul, perhaps to keep connections and funding alive for her activism. His son, Tarek Ghani is a postdoctoral fellow at the Woodrow Wilson School at the Princeton University.

Dr Abdullah Abdullah remained conveniently aligned with Kabul’s puppet regime albeit for a brief period of one year – 1985 to 1986 – when he moved to Peshawar and worked in a hospital. Come early 1990s, he became the right-hand of fellow Tajik warlord Ahmad Shah Masud. He survived in Kabul’s power circles till 1996 when Taliban took over the Afghan capital. Abdullah held the foreign ministry portfolio from 2001 to 2005. According to Anis Daily newspaper, Abdullah’s wife Fakhria lives in India with her four school-going children.

Both the leaders at the helm have little idea of the suffering an average Afghan withstood during the Soviet invasion, Taliban’s takeover and the suffering endured under the NATO. Like Modi, their best bet seems changing geography by adversely and irreparably damaging Pakistan. The Indian leaders’ perverse ambition aims at bringing ever more chaos along Afghanistan’s bordering regions than any respite from its own volcanic faultlines. Islamabad, meanwhile, has corrected its course by not only essentially eliminating Taliban and al-Qaeda sanctuaries in its tribal regions and elsewhere but also ensuring improved surveillance and management of its western border, which remain overwhelmingly un-secured from the Afghan side. As much as Pakistan did, it did so to deny militant movement into the war-ravaged country but also to secure its own territory of foreign proxies and miscreants. For Pakistan’s security and development, a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan is undoubtedly a key pre-requisite.

How far has Afghanistan come since Bonn conference in 2002 when the comity of nations began the process of facilitating its transition from pariah to a mainstream nation-state? The challenge faced then still confronts the world. What can be done for the land-locked, tribally and racially-divided country?

Taliban are resurging, not along the Pakistan-bordering eastern provinces but in the centre, the north and the west. The Afghan troops and police have failed to stem desertions. The tribal elders are refusing to pay state taxes and embrace mainstream economy. Pakistan has nothing to do with the dares listed above. Yet, Ghani and Abdullah prefer travelling more often to the foreign capitals than their country’s provincial headquarters.

Embracing India’s clandestine foreign policy goals of disrupting peace in Balochistan and branding Pakistan as a terrorist state risk peace and development in Afghanistan whose citizens are no less desperate to escape to Europe than the displaced Syrians and Yemenis. The Afghans won’t have the luxury of foreign financial assistance as enjoyed since 2001 for the donor fatigue is only worsening with mounting humanitarian crises in the Middle East and North Africa. Certainly, the Heart of Asia offers Afghanistan last firm prospect to get the best of friendly assistance in realms of security, reconstruction and development. Unless Afghans place a true statesman at the helm in Kabul, Ajit Doval – Modi’s National Security Advisor – may realise his alleged dream to “fight Pakistan to the last Afghan”.

This reminded me a statement by someone....

"India will fight Pakistan to the last Afghan".... And poor Kabul is just towing the line of India totally blindly. Now I have to admit that yeah money can get anything done.

I ask you again. what Afghan Taliban got to do with Pakistan? Their country , their ways. Good on them.

Since you sound intelligent enough, let me ask you a counter question, why do you think Afghans hate you so much? Your support was one of the reasons talibans stayed in power for so long, if common afghans were so in love with that regime then why is this hatred? pardon me for saying this, but how hypocrite of you cheering for a terrorist regime in Afghanistan and fighting a group, with same ideology and ethnic set up, in Pakistan. Why can't you just keep your ego aside for once and admit that you screwed up big time in Afghanistan? I understand that you got paranoid and supported their jihad against soviets, but why could not you be neutral afterwards? if I am not wrong taliban as a group emerged after Soviet retreat. For a few years of peace you have destroyed the safety of your own nation for generations to come. US as usual washed their hands and left where they came from, who is bearing the brunt of WOT now? How much more are you actually willing to pay for this stupid strategic depth in Afghanistan? Have you not understood yet, that the price of your misadventure in Afghanistan is too overwhelming for you to pay?

On side note, if they help us in uprooting Indian terror infra in Afghanistan, then yea, why not!

For God sake bro, after all this years how can you still buy this good terrorist, bad terrorist philosophy? have you learned no lesson at all? Your good terrorists may bleed us today, but be assured that tomorrow it come back to bite your own hands. This mindset is the sole reason why a country which was supposed to be one of the better economies in south asia now fighting a battle with itself, It bleeds my heart to ask you this, how many more kids have to die before you learn the simple truth, that no terrorists are good, all are bad?

. .
Well, the problem is we Pakistanis can't fathom this that ever since the inception of Pakistan one of the most hostile nation was "Afghanistan". I still remember some time back every Pakistani had a soft corner for Afghanis and never considered them as a threat or enemy. On the other Hand Afghanis were always hostile towards Pakistan and were busy playing sinister games against Pakistan.

Time has eventually changed, Most Pakistanis have realized now that Afghanis are greater threat to Pakistan than those Baniyas. Pakistan should boot these thankless Afghans, I mean there should be a country wide operation and send each one of these leeches back. Then Setup a wall like West bank and then deal these lunatics the way the should be.

Pretty smart move, still wondering why you care for Afghanistan And Pakistan so much?
Anyway, your knowledge is just influenced by too much fb dose and could not get further from reality and history. We did not screwed up in Afghanistan. We were the reason Afghanistan was secured from USSR and and long standing civil war.
And for your info, after soviet left, Taliban gained controlled of Afghanistan without any involvement of ISI. But, as they were consisted of fighter mostly trained by Pakistan and USA, so it was natural that ISI had influence on them. But whatever you may call it, the peace was restored in Afghanistan and a complete functional government was set up in Kabul. So who destroyed this peace in Afghanistan ?

You have to understand who is installed in Kabul by yanks first to get to the answer of your question. These people are the northern alliance scumbags. A MINORITY. Who hate Pakistan because we supported the Pakhtoon Taliban at a time when we believed, rightly so, that there should be peace in Afghansitan and the infighting should stop, the civil war, where one group, the Taliban will grab the bull by its horn and sort the mess out. Mind you, the overlord and hero of northern Alliance, Ahmed shah Masood was also the gradute of Pakistan specical services group school in Cherat. We trained him and his fellows as well. We give all Afghans, irrespective of their ethnic background, full backing and facilitated them to form their unity government, BUT when they went infighting based on ethinic fault lines, we had to pull the plug and support the one which will bring stability in Afghanstan. Ofcourse we couldnt support the northern alliance agianst Pakhtoons becuase that would have been unnatural and would server no purpose to let the minority rule over majority, the fatal mistake, yanks and their minions did right after 9/11. It is the small minority, which is now in power that hate Pakistan and when they are in power, they give the impression as if the whole Afghanistan is against Pakistan. That is utter non sense.

If Taliban were hated by Afghans , which btw, are Afghans themselves, then its quite astonishing that a movement and resistance would last this long against the might American juggernaut without support from Afghan common people. Pakistani support cant do a jack if Talibans dont have roots inside Afghan society. School boy argument you got.

Terrorist regime? says who? Yanks are talking to them, they got office in Qatar. Those who are aware of the fact know very well that Talibans were neither involve in 9/11 nor they endorsed it. At best, they are nationalist movement who want their country to be free of foreign occupation.

When did we screwed up? Its the yanks who wanted to barge into Afghanistan in a hope to defang Pakistan and now they are biting the dust after decade old occupation.

Very cute. Let me remind you. Before 9/11, before American occupation and subsequent entrenching of American minions like India in Afghanistan, there was no terrorism in Pakistan. Hell, there was no terrorism in Pakistan anytime before the fall of so called "terrorist" Taliban regime in Afghanistan. Even before them , even at the times of Soviets. It all started after 9/11 and we know who got entrenched in Kabul and for what purpose. So get out this silly notions of good and bad terrorist. Its all to do with proxy war against Pakistan by anti-Pakistan states to which India is part of. We have lost 50K plus of our citizens in this proxy war. Someone , somewhere has to pay for this. its a shame India has let itself be run by terrorists and maniacs who got no shame and ethics in fighting these wars.

When there is no difference between Pakistani politicians and afghan politicians, I have no idea what this article is trying to portray.

What ever short comings the afghani politicians has according to this article the same is true for Pakistani politicians.

We dont want Taliban to rule Afghanistan, the only thing which concern Pakistan about Kabul is that pro-Indian puppet regimes like Ghani and Abdullah company is a source of problem for Pakistan. You can see the effects of their co-operation with India in Baluchistan, besides they are also providing safe houses to TTP. All the support which BLA or TTP have is due to Afghanistan.
PS, had the common of people of Afghanistan wanted to finish Taliban and respected Ghani regime, Ghani would not have been blaming Pakistan today for the his failure and Afghanistan would have been a peaceful country.

Long things short. Pakistan does things which you thing is in your interest. Just like that the Northern Alliance do things that will obviously be in their interest. Same applies to the Yankees and India as well. :)

Regarding shame and ethics, all including Pakistan are same in that case, the least said the better. If Pakistan is not ashamed why should others have ?? The principle is simple, hit the enemy where it hurt most I suppose. :)

When Pakistan has a history of promoting proxies and terror attacks in India and Afghanistan since it is in your interest, what do you expect back a bunch of Roses ?? It doesn't work that way. :-)

Like any other group or militant organization, Afghan Taliban would have killed their adversaries. But the number is much lower than any other group or military who came to Afghanistan in the name of liberation and democracy.
