Bush says N-supply not legally binding; India worried

First of all do translate this word bhavishyawani so that all can see if you are not using abusive language like another Indian who used a .d.irty word from Tamil knowing well that here members dont understand tamil.

Now as far as your earlier comment well you did mean that as if you read carefully i said till the time India does not harm US intrests US will be behaving like a partner simple as that and as soon as US feels its intrests are affected its not going to remain in love.

Its an open secrte

It means Prediction.....and it is Hindi

Go back and read your own post it says small group of democrats........not all.....and there is always going to be a pakistani lobby + non proliferation lobby working against this deal.....but still it is a small group...resistence to deal is always expected.....

Pakistani lobby ??? well honestly speaking Pakistani lobby has never been strong to oppose the deal.

The non-Proliferation lobby or to say powerful countries had been are still opposing it

Malay that is the point If India is giving business to other countries like France and others instead of US, Do you think US will be allowing smooth sailing to India ???

Many experts have been saying that the deal will not bound India to purchase only from US which means she can go to other instead of US.

But is US such a naive that she can not see that .

Jana, you have missed the bigger picture completely, which Neo was the first to elaborate.

India has already given unofficial commitments that it would not go ahead and sign any other bilateral N-Treaty with any nation till the US Congress clears this bill. And they have also given commitments that US Businesses would not suffer due to first mover advantage held by other nations like France and Russia.

But, what would happen is that a few reactors would be deliberately given to the US companies while the bulk would go to France and Russia. Once that is complete, US companies would suffer from lack of contracts, and the US govt would goto congress and ask them to ammend their laws as their domestic laws were hampering US companies competitiveness. Congress would clear the ammendments as India would already be getting Reprocessing and Enrichment technology apart from a guarentee of lifetime supply of fuel for every reactor from France and Russia.
