Two Bangladeshis were killed in separate shootings at districts bordering with India, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has said.


India’s Border Security Force (BSF) fatally shot Jashim Mandal, 26, at Jhenaidah’s Maheshpur Upazila while he was reportedly on their side of Baghadanga border at the early hours of Friday.

Another shooting by the BSF at Kurigram’s Rowmari Upazila left one Lal Miah, 25, dead around 4am.

He had trespassed the border to smuggle in Indian cows, according to his family at Fakirparha village of Sholamarhi Union.

Why did they kill unarmed civilians?

Why couldn't they just arrest them, even if they were trying to cross the border? Killing is never an answer, you can disable them in many other ways, if required.
