Dhruv was produced by HAL and its blueprints were made in 1955....This helicopter cant beat Lama in durability...i am sure if HAL had consulted ISRO and TATA Group of Industries the service ceiling would have been tripled of what it is now but who cares....the corrupt members of Congress only care about their kick-backs and foreign trips...now wasted millions of dollars on this project and in the end we ended up with this useless piece of junk.....BSF and NSG should use them as target drones :tup:

The guys in the frontline betting their lives riding these choppers have the first say in what work and what doesn't work. Your life is not on the line riding these choppers so your option is worthless. It's well known that Indian goods are subpar compared to foreign goods. The Japan-made choppers would definitely be better.

LMAO!The ordinary BSF jawans never even get to see these choppers!These are mostly used to transport Officers and "sometimes" Cas-Evac.You do not operate Indian war crafts so your comparisons are speculative at the most.But yes,the Japanese do build better equipments than India and in some fields USA.

Everyone bought it in single digit numbers to check its quality.it is the cheapest in its class in the world.they sold it to turkey for a loss of million dollars.(marketing tactics)

This line is used by almost every security agency in the world to get what they want.. but they should understand that unlike many countries India has only limited resources. So you have to work with what you got. Srilankans fought the LTTE which was the most ruthless terrorist organization(armed with SAMs) with Bell helicopters made in the 1960s and a few Russian helicopters. Compared to that BSF have a relatively comfortable job. Dhruv is in the service of may airforces around the world without any major complaint. So BSF better get their act together and learn to fly this modern machines, or stick to older SOPs like ground domination. If they want air cover GoI can get some hot air baloons as it dont need any pilots to fly it and very easy to maintain. All it needs is hot gas which is abundant supply in India.

these Dhruv's must be over used by BSF as a result they might be giving problems...none of foreign customer has complained yet..BSF should replace its old Dhruvs..

Lets face it, the advance light helicopter is actually big fat overweight and underpowered drag and waste of fuel.
While powers like europe and USA are struggling to cram more and more composite material into advance fighters and choppers, India already claims to master that technology by funny names like ALH and LCA. hahahah

Dhruv should be used by BSF and feedback negative or positive fed back to DRDO and they should work on it. A formal channel to raise greviences should be put in place and the issues resolved.

Cause India economy increased 3 times in last 6-7 years, its hard to increase military infrastructure in just a short time too.

Thats why with high economy we are buying more.
