You seriously need to watch these videos, seriously.

It is kind of typical of all countries.

US is trying to create a narrative here, of western world and all bullshit. Just see the opening person's remarks.

India is largely clue less.

China doesn't say much, and is terribly bad at explaining itself.

Japan learning from the US is playing good public diplomacy.

This is one area where China lacks, it can't explain its position and win debates. These things do matter. I am quite a debater and I know, that it is extremely important for you to present your case.

That's how propaganda works. The maker of this event never wanted India or China to explain anything at all. There is no coincidence that certain people are invited and others not. ;)

that's why we need our own Boao Forum.

China and Russia have only few such forums and also few distribution channels. NATO has at least 100 such forums and and distribution channels.

If you dare to voice your pint of view that is opposite the NATO narrative, they will scream hysterically propaganda.

But more and more people are waking up from and fed up with NATO propaganda in the EU. One only needs to read the comment section of the mainstream media (if they haven't switched them off already, that is) you'll see how those NATO mouthpieces are being attacked by the general readers.

Some websites in China are about translations of news and comments from western media. Yes. I am shocked by netizens' response, especially German. Btw, I like Heute Show, also translated into Chinese, but wha's wrong with FDP?

Having more or less watched the entire video, I came away completely underwhelmed. The whole program is nothing more than talking points, cliches, and propaganda.

Yes to some extent. My point is that in a democracy, where your main task is to appeal to people and change their views, you get skilled at handling media, public. You also get skilled at forming narratives and changing public views.

I seriously think that Chinese president should engage in open debates.

I am just looking froward where this thread is going.

Perhaps about the importance of forming opinions. About delivery.

True. But the Chinese host here had numerous opportunities to counter many points. Many many points.

He just didn't speak at all.

Owning the forum hardly helps. HARDLY....

You have to be skilled at taking questions, handling media, and winning debates.

I just wanna see how you can take this thread again to those topics u normally wanna troll on. If I had time, I should perform a meta-analysis on your threads.

And what are the threads that I wanna "troll" on?

Yes, please do any analysis.

China's "bad behavior" in western public "forums" vs Indian train accident 2 or 3 days ago. Which should be discussed more? Btw, today our forum is discussing India's signal system, and how to avoid accidents in a primitive signal system.

LOL, seems like the Japanese lady was hired by the Japanese Government to spew their POV, not her own POV.

When are you coming to India? We will talk about these things then. Perhaps I was not able to explain myself properly.

I will come to India when real reforms and improvements will have been made in railway. How shall I take risks by taking a train from Delhi to Varanasi or other Buddhist sacred cites in Bihar? I've read enough travelogues by Chinese and western tourists about it!

Hmm.. Ok. Though, even when there are accidents there are relatively very few, and travelling by train is perfectly all right.
