You know my brother, being Mexican you will be discriminated against in states bordering Mexico as a criminal and illegal, regardless of whether it is true or not. Many Mexicans living on this side of the border (even after generations) suffer that stigma and find it difficult to find employment, educational opportunities, and to live their daily life.
Employment, education, live daily life........
hmmm
It is a very difficult thing to try to think of how to respond here.
I deal very much with dealing with a world that feels and seems very alien to me. I think many Latinos here understand that feeling. I am sure many Pakistanis may feel the same thing.
You may come here and you may feel very alienated and baffled by the strange Western culture (I know Latin America sometimes is considered part of the West but I don't consider us as really being the West...... when a Muslim somewhere is protesting against the West, I doubt he's thinking of Nicaraguans).
You may come here and you may find it distressing. It may make you feel alienated and sad. You see things which are very at odds with your values and feel a pressure to adopt alien values.
This could cause a Mexican kid to do badly in school. Feminism from the Anglo culture could make inroads and really cause harm to the family. The kid may grow up without his dad and this could influence him having trouble in school. It could also promote psychological issues.
"Urban," "hood" culture, rap music, etc. could have an influence and it could influence youth towards criminality.
I'm not really so much concerned about some white person disliking Mexicans. I'm concerned about idolatry, feminism, liberalism, leftism, Obrador, witchcraft, rap music, atheism, sins, fornication, immodest clothing, music in general, pork, alcohol, marijuana, negative influences of figures like Selena and Frida Kahlo, etc.
the Quran says
Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron.
-Surah Ar'Rad 13:11
Of course, most Mexicans don't believe in the Quran. Traditionally, we believe in the Bible. Well what does the Bible say?
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
-Ephesians 6:12
and according to the Quran
Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.
-Surah Fatir 35:6
so therefore whether we look at things from the Quranic perspective or the Biblical perspective, the struggle in this world is primarily one which is spiritual in a sense. I'm not denying the significance of physical jihad when it is what's right but... ultimately, Shaytaan wants us to end up in hell.
So the thing is if we want the absolute best for any people- the answer is to turn towards Allah, to do good deeds and abstain from sins.
It's not necessarily as simple as white people being racist causes Mexican kids to get bad grades. And as far as work, I think Mexicans are doing fine as far as work. I don't think racism is an obstacle to work. I think it's annoying like a mosquito bite but I don't think it's preventing people from being able to work. If you're Mexican and you go and tell other Mexicans you can't work because of white racism, I think we'll look at you like you're crazy and possibly overly influenced by leftist ideology. It would be taken as a joke.
What about all the racism against Pakistanis? Can you imagine a Pakistani telling his parents he can't work because of racism? I can't imagine Pakistani parents would be very accepting of that.
Look at all the racism right now against Chinese. There's racism against Chinese, against Pakistanis, against Indians, against Arabs........ it doesn't mean you can't work and get good grades, though.
