According to the Times, Hamas has been helping the FSA in digging a tunnel beneath Damascus in preparation for an attack on the city, a skill that Hamas has honed since constructing previous tunnels to smuggle supplies from Egypt into the Gaza Strip.

A Palestinian source from Lebanon's Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp reportedly said that Hamas' aide to the FSA is common knowledge, however Hamas officials have denied any affiliation with Syrian rebels.

Makes sense, what with Hamas being a Sunni extremist group. They will deny involvement so as to not jeopardise their arms shipments from Iran.

Got to hand it to the palestinians. They certainly aren't the loyal type. Syria & Assad helped them against Israel for decades, and as soon as Assad gets in trouble - Hamas runs out of Damascus and is now training the FSA.

You may have had a good point, if your own government hadn't accused Hamas members of being involved in the attack that killed 16 Egyptian soldiers. Egyptian press said forensics showed that the fake Egyptian army uniforms the attackers were wearing, came from Nablus.

Egypt closed the border with Gaza and destroyed more tunnels than Mubarak ever did.

With betrayals of Syria (and by extension Iran), Egypt and historically Jordan, Kuwait and Lebanon too - it's a miracle the palestinians still have any support.

hamas is maybe much more a sunni organization but still there were many links and supports with Iran. Inside Hamas there were people pro Iran. We are no ally of Hamas,Erdogan uses the palestinians(Hamas in this case)to gain votes for the upcoming elections.
Those who vote for Erdogan see it as;poor palestinians we have to help them,our PM does something to help them.
