London: British Kashmiris from across the United Kingdom observed India’s Republic Day as Black Day against continued occupation of Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Kashmiri Diaspora from Luton, Slough, Ashbury, Chesham, Woking, High-Wycombe, Watford, Manchester, Nottingham and other cities of the United Kingdom gathered outside outside Indian high commission at Aldwych in London and staged a demonstration against India’s occupation of Kashmir.

The demonstrators were carrying banners and placards demanding of India to quit Kashmir and the International community to save humanity and redeem the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The demonstration was organised by the Kashmir Centre London and was led by Chairman Centre Prof. Nazir Ahmed Shawl, President Advisory Council Raja Mohammed Ayub, and Choudhry Member AJK Assembly Tariq Farooq.

The participants of the demonstration on the occasion appealed to the international community to help provide the Kashmiris with opportunity to decide their political future by themselves.

Besides others, the demonstration was attended by Member Legislative Council AJK Chaudhry Mohammed Khan, former AJK minister Mohammed Riaz, Sabir Hussain-Co-ordinator Kashmir Centre, Shoaib Akbar Nazish, Jehangir Shabbir Nadvi, Raja Ishaq Khan, Zubair Kiani and former Mayer Riaz Butt.

“An atmosphere completely free of violence, repression and grave human rights abuses should be ensured in Indian – held Jammu & Kashmir. This transformation needs a bold initiative such as complete demilitarisation of occupied Kashmir,” the participants of demonstration said in a joint appeal.

If these people are Mirpuris then they are not authentic Kashmiris. Mirpuris need to stop passing themselves off as Kashmiris.

It doesn't really matter. They can wail and bawl all they want.

its OK everyone is entitled to their opinion and they do have the right to protest. :)

British public has little sympathy for these radicalized groups who have brought a bad reputation for Pakistanis. I am sure this will only favor the Indian stand.

The world cannot afford more religious hatred riddled client states serving the interests of a select few in the uniform.

That too in this region. One is enough.

Besides, there's little anyone other than the GoI can do.

We're not breaking India once again.

It's not going to happen.

People on both sides of the LoC and around the world are free to waste their lives chasing the holy grail.
