Britain, Turkey sign defence deal to develop Turkish fighter jet

So full export for those too? with ToT or just free use?
Certainly some ToT, since Turkey too has its R&D in the same fields..ToT is usually proportional to the level of your own research..

First gold rule of BAE-TAI talks was about No Limitation at Export. Britain has guaranteed that there would be no limitation to Turkey for export markets and they received all permisions so cooperation matured and deal has signed.

This, it's for the illusion in front of the photos.

But Turkey is above all a member of a common defense alliance of which it is a member against common enemies (NATO). This deal is not made just to produce simple cars.

It is strategic and geopolitical. It consists of developed a combat weapon of very high technological level. It will be one of the best Fifth-generation combat aircraft in the world. It will be frozen in the marble for decades (50 years, 60 years). It is a bridge of an alliance renewed towards the future.

From now on all Muslim buyers will be guaranteed that the equipment they buy and use will be completely independent and reliable. Not like today and it is already a real revolution.

Well don't know who is losing/gaining the most in the story. it's like 2 adrift boats that found themselfs...

Any evidence? There is a reason founding fathers designed US to be a constitutional republic instead of a democracy.

I'll skip the lecture on burden of evidence. A constitutional republic is a form of democracy. There are many different forms of democracy.

China can't provide EJ200 with TVC quality engine now and there are other equipment's which they will not sell to Pakistan, only export version is on table, so its better to have own 5th gen in which we can have help from Turkey & China, making it exclusively Pakistan's 5th gen jet, or join TFX program to have frontline jet and future replacement of F-16s.
The WS-13X tested on Fc-31 v2 has more thrust than EJ200 and there is no TVC in euro fighter. Even China don't export the best subsystem, it still superior to rest of the others except F-22 which solely used by USAF only and J-20 used by PLAAF. You see F-35 if inferior by your standard is still well sought by many countries. Same as FC-31 V2. You seriously Turkey can build a 5th gen fighter better than US and China? I give an example. Our export KJL-7A AESA has more than 1800 modules and which export AESA can beat that? Not even the one on F-35 can better it.

at least we know what that tf-x may look like...but it's too much f-35 alike...

Aerodynamics has a big role in design. You have to make it this way, there isnt much alternative.

@Beast There is a Turkish proverb "Doğmamış çocuğa don biçilmez" (You cannot ready the clothes of a child which is still unborn). Terrible translation i think, just make use of it.

Long story short what i am trying to say is yours is an early statement.

The answer of if Turkey can do better than China on 5th, maybe .
Do Better than the US , maybe.
Conlusion, time will tell...

eurofighter does, the link was for the euro/rafale. if f-35 can't then those 2 can. so no need for an additional jet with supercruise. f-35 is one of the slowest...

Read.

Those two there - Eurofigter, Rafale - are not Fifth-generation combat aircraft.

It will not survive versus a real Fifth-generation combat aircraft with true capacity Supercruise (Two engines).

The British will not accept Pakistan's participation in this project of such strategic importance. This aircraft will be in duet to fighter F-35.

Turkey is a member country of NATO, not the Pakistan.
But potential buyers will be Islam world and England know this and want this and as cabatli_53 said
Noone can threaten Turkey with using defense products as a tool to harm our interests. The strategic weapons which is not sold to some states by big boys cause of politic reasons, will be exported by Turkish industry to change the power balance. A free FP will directly harm their interests in region so today, They issue embargo to Turkish projects via their engines but They will not find an excuse to block Turkish deals in tomorrow.
This give potential Power to influence the politics of muslim world to Turkey but also to England. We all know the situation of Britishs at middle-east at today and at back days. This is a strategic partnership for tomorrows. When we sell a fifth generation fighter to a middle-east country we will take the role of the other potential sellers effectivenes over their policy. And we dont have to forget that todays most expensive weapons' buyers are petrol- rich muslim countries.

Well if it's an head on jet vs jet, supercruise, 5th or not, the winnier is the one who has the best aesa /air-air missiles and back support...
if it's against a surface enemy, that's another question
