Bringing the different factions together as one in Pakistan

It is becuase Pakistanis are generally very nice to foreigners. If you are
Native Eurropean - you have white privilege,
Arab - pure brothers from the holy land
Indian - our beloved desi brothers & neighbours
BD - Once part of our country, still our brother
Afghanistan & iran- our beloved cousins
Black - beloved people of Hazarat Billal (RA)
China - our iron brother
Turkey - our historicle brothers
UK - our beloved rulers

Except

Brit Pakistani- scam them with twice the cost

......and it continues, Pak seem to want to call every nationality as brother.

But what I don't understand is why non-Pakistanis NEVER refer to people outside their own race as "brothers" and "sisters". Why is this attitude only affecting Pakistanis? Why don't other races refer to foreigners as "brothers". Why are we so different? I wish we were as reserved and cold as the rest of humanity.

.
Why not Pakistani Hindus? If they are our citizens, they need to be included just like anyone else. The whole point is to show that under our system they are better off then if they align with India. It also creates a permanent underclass in our society, which is morally wrong and also geo strategically dangerous.

Look at the Muslims in France. Alienation breeds only problems.

We don’t have an all Green flag. We need to remember all the people the white part represents. I remember the words of Mervyn Leslie Middlecoat of the Pakistan Air Force to his daughter, which she relayed later in life;

Respect

.
Recently we have discussed the various different elements that have caused instability and disunity in Pakistan over the past 4 decades. Now, more importantly, we need to discuss WHAT can be done to bring together the various different factions in Pakistan, for the betterment and progress of our country.

What are your thoughts guys?
What are the factions you talking about?

Are these as imaginative as the Pakistani race you have conjured out of thin air?

So by your assertion, the "Ummah Chummah" brigade in Pakistan who want to serve the interest of non-Pakistanis doesn't exist?........ :azn:

Our identity needs to be Pakistani
Sounds good. But care to define -

  • Pakistani identity
  • Pakistani nationalism
Are these as imaginative as the Pakistani race you have conjured out of thin air?
This is the problem. Try this in other countries and see what happens. Question Turkishness and see what will happen. Try question Indian race and El Sidd would be lynched faster then even if he was caught eating beef. When you have locals question 'Pakistan' then you don't need enemies.

Our faith command us to see our fellow humans as brothers and sisters, especially if they are Muslim. Considering it was the basis for the creation of Pakistan, faith not ethnicity, it seems to be the unifying element that holds our nation together, and needs to be reinforced to create an equitable society.

as for foreign relations, I agree that we should not be as naive, because we are not dealing with other peoples, but nation states, which operate as such. Our relations with the West and China bore this mind set out, but our relations with our fellow Muslim nations was done more informally. As we have seen these other nations become more formal, I doubt it will not be long before we too accept that we will need to become formal.

I will say what I think even if most here find it difficult to accept. The reasons are -

  • Muslim identity was peddled right from 1947.
  • It was Hindu versus Muslim narrative
  • the problem was the Muslim identity is global and Pakistan is only a small slice of the globe.
  • it would be like you trying to 'own' the air in your house.
  • you never will because the air is part of atmosphere across the globe.
  • as time went on our people began to identify as Muslim.
  • this mean't our people began to root for every muslim cause across the globe.
  • Pakistan people became trans-nationalists when what Pakistan needed was nationalists.

.
When I joined this forum back in 2018 I wanted to learn from all factions and beliefs of various Pakistanis in the diaspora and in Pakistan but I came to understand fairly quickly that this is a diaspora den living in anywhere outside of Pakistan you dont really fit here or there in Pakistan anyways I really think Culture war nonsense has to be minimal Pak needs to focus on themselves first and there isnt going be to be any Islamic country that is gonna lead us be the Turks,Persians or Arabs they are too nationalistic

We need to reverse this process.

But Pakistani's are trans-nationalist which simply means they think more of the Muslim world then Pakistan itself.
I mean its the result of failures of uplifting the country what is their to be proud of when country is courupt, and living standards low

More importantly, why is the "Ummah Chummah" brigade okay with Arab, Persian or Turkish nationalism but have an issue with Pakistani nationalism?

Afghanistan is poorer than Pakistan but they are ardent nationalists who don't give a damn about non-Afghan Muslims.

PK4EVER think about this. You belong to a family. you work for your family. A family is about drawing lines. You place some within and rest outside. Maybe you have three circles. The inner one is your family, the next one your extended family, the next one your friends and all others come outside that.

Now imagine you wake up in the morning. You delete those circles of priority. You go to work but along the way you see some strangers who need help. You start helping them out. Then in the afternoon you get to work. When you finish you collect your daily wage. On the way you see some hungry people so you give part of your wage to them. You go shopping for family grocery but as you come out you see needy people and you give some of your shopping to them. Then near your home you see a fight. Bunch of hooligans are beating one guy up so you jump in to help. You get your head kicked in. Then battered, tired and bruised you walk through the front door. Your kids are hungry, the gas has been cut off and your wife is annoyed. But you feel satisfied because you done it for humanity. As you sit feeling hungry but content a brick comes crashing through your window. It is one of those guys who was beating that stranger. You have made a bunch of enemies today.

The next day you wake up and repeat the same pattern. Question: How long is your family going to last? And what progress is your family going to make? Pakistan is akin to such a disfunctional family.
