NEW YORK—The developing countries of Brazil, Russia, India and China recovered quickly from the financial crisis five years ago. Their spending helped keep a global recession from becoming a global depression.
Now they're stumbling.

Indians are buying fewer cars for the first time in a decade. Chinese are struggling as economic growth slows to a two-decade low. Even big-spending Brazilians, who like to buy everything from shoes to dental work on credit, are turning thrifty—and angry. Hundreds of thousands took to the streets in June to protest rising prices and shoddy public services.

The whole groups basically is just fake in the first place. There's no the so-called BRICS nor emerging market nor East Asia economy rise in reality. It just names, invented to hide something.

7.6% GDP growth as of Q2 2013 out of a 8.2 trillion USD economy with 46% of the GDP produced by manufacturing. If Chinese economy is sick, I wouldn't even know how to describe the economy of US, EU, Japan, etc. Taiwan is also the last place that should question mainland's economy, considering the fact you are kept afloat solely by the good will of mainland by over-importing your stuff. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
