What's new

BRICS, SCO, EAEU can define new world order: China, Russia

China and Russia are doing everything the NeoCons wanted to prevent. The integration of Eurasia will lead to the end of the Anglo-Zionist empire.

Eurasian Economic Union lol. Tremble all at the might of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.

What planet do you live on? American think tanks have been openly admitting that they are "trembling" for many years now !!! Seriously, have you missed all that? A few years ago Hillary Clinton also warned how this would be a nightmare for the U.S. and that they will do everything to prevent or at least "slow down" Russia'Eurasian Economic Union and both Russia and China's Eurasian integration projects in general.

You should read Washington's offical policy papers about Eurasia's importance to the ssurvival of the American empire. What is happening in Ukraine is also connected to this Neo Con policy. Only about one and a half year ago, the Neo Cons openly said that "Ukraine is their biggest prize". Have you missed that also? Do you know anything about international relations and geopolitics? Read about what NeoCon strategists like Brezinski, Wolfowitz and Kagan have said about Eurasia, Russia and China. You may not be trembling, but they are. They don't even hide the fact that they are trembling.

Beijing: India and Pakistan could be officially admitted as full members of China-led Shanghai Cooperation Organisation security grouping during a key summit later this year in Kazakhstan, its Secretary-General has said.

Welcoming the seventh and the eighth member-nations would be a key item on the agenda during the SCO summit in Astana on June 8-9, Rashid Alimov said on Sina Weibo, which is similar to Twitter in China, according to state-run Global Times.

The SCO, headquartered in Beijing, was founded in 2001.

A political and security organisation comprising China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan
, it is aimed at military cooperation between the member states and involves intelligence sharing, counter-terrorism operations in Central Asia and joint work against cyber terrorism.

With India and Pakistan's membership, the SCO will include countries encompassing over 40 per cent of the world's population.

Afghanistan, Belarus, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan have "observer" status. The grouping's 2015 summit in Ufa in Russia formally adopted a resolution starting the procedures to admit India and Pakistan into the SCO.

Both the countries signed a Memorandum of Obligations to join the organisation during last year's summit in Tashkent.

Li Xing, director of the Eurasian Studies Centre at Beijing Normal University, told the daily that SCO membership of India and Pakistan will extend the geographical range of the SCO to South Asia, instead of being confined to Central Asia.

The membership of India and Pakistan is expected to mitigate their conflict and may even push them to sign the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Li claimed.

The non-military organisation will connect countries through national strategies such as China's ambitious 'Belt and Road' initiative, the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union, as well as South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, (SAARC) led by India, Li said.

As for Iran, one of the four observer nations of the SCO, it will be considered for membership when it is free from nuclear sanctions, if it files an application again, Zhao Huirong, a research fellow of Central Asian studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, told the daily.

“ITU South Asia Area Office and Technology Innovation Centre to be established in New Delhi”: Manoj Sinha

The ITU South Asia Area Office and Technology Innovation Centre will be established in New Delhi. This was announced by Mr. Houlin Zhao, Secretary General (SG) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), during the 4th BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting held in Durban, South Africa recently. ITU is a United Nations specialized agency for Information and Communication Technologies, with membership of 193 countries and nearly 800 private sector entities and academic institutions.

Commenting on this announcement, Minister of State for Communications (Independent Charge), Shri Manoj Sinha, who was present when the announcement was made, said – “The establishment of this ITU local area office will be an important milestone for us, as it signifies global recognition of the progress we have made in the field of ICT. It also places on us the responsibility to work with our neighbouring countries to take the benefits of the rapid developments in this technology-driven industry to our people in the South Asia region.’

As a member of the ITU since 1869, India has traditionally played a harmonising role in the deliberations and exchanges of the body, always respecting the core principles of equality and consensus-building. The country has also been a regular member of the ITU Council since 1952. The ITU South Asia Office will serve nine countries – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, in addition to the host country – which together account for nearly 24% of the global population.

In this connection, Secretary (Telecom), Ms. Aruna Sundararajan added – “This local area office will play a key role in organising capacity and capability building programmes for the region, and in accelerating the structured implementation of ITU’s development programs with focus on Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Land-Locked Developed Countries (LLDCs), Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and other similarly placed nations in the region.

The ITU Local Area Office will also impart a significant boost to technological reach and benefits for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which act as catalysts in the inclusive growth of a region’s economy and employment. “We are thankful to our neighbouring countries for supporting the establishment of this office in India, and look forward to further strengthening our partnership with them”, concluded Shri Sinha.

Now that the dollar is dead, there should be no problems in achieving that. :D

How is $$ dead? It is rising like crazy and is impacting all the developing economies around. Till oil is sold in USD, nothing will change. US will keep a vice grip on the ability to control the dollar.

Nice comeback.

From YouTube to PDF to Quora, USD is just found to be dying every moment. But in real life, it is doing the exact opposite.

Many Pakistanis were predicting $$'s death when Turkey started speaking to Russia and China. But at the end of the day, even these two countries want the greenback.

Though I'd favour a diversified forex basket where people can actually trade on fair terms. Federal Reserve controlling everything is just in plain neutral terms, wrong.

I believe this was a sarcastic comment.

so many currencies lost their value against the dollar this year.
For any other currency to replace the dollar, there should be trust on that currency. there are a good number of countries that DO trust china, but there are a good number of countries that DO NOT trust china to keep its currency "autonomous". Until then, the dollar as a reserve will continue.

The dollar's reign as a reserve currency is declared over about 53 times per month on PDF, don'tcha know? :D
