So much nonsense over an unarmed drone being shot down 15.000 km away from the US shore and less than 40 km away from a regional countries surface-to-air-missile.
As per the same CENTCOM the Houthi's shot down an MQ-9 over Yemen using an SA-6 surface-to-air missile less than 3 weeks ago. Big deal.
The only reason why the US has not retaliated or carpet bombed Iran is due to the US being a representative democracy (people are tired after the US wars in Iraq and Afghanistan), Trump not wanting to lose the reelection as one of his key promises was not to engage in any new war and the Iranian Mullah regime suiting regional US policies and them preparing some kind of "enemy" or tension in the region, similar to their rule during the Iran-Iraq war where they played out both sides.
However the same US and Israel have been carpet bombing Iranian positions in Syria time and time again without any replies so expect something similar to occur again over the shooting down of an unarmed drone.
Most likely this was a bait as well. The US are masters when it comes to using such situations to their advantage and to cook up some bogus claim and invade/strike foreign country x or y.
Not due to Iran being some kind of "superpower" that the US would have no chance against even if fighting 15.000 km away from home.
That and the US not wanting Sunni Arab/Sunni Muslim domination of the region as seen by their involvement in Iraq and everywhere else. Israel has similarly no interest to destroy Hezbollah. They even tolerated their growth just next door in the early 1980's when Iran post-revolution was very weak even for regional standards.
I read a few posts moments ago and saw one of
@Falcon29 's post that basically told what all this is about.
Interestingly the Arab regimes have no interest in combating Iran even though if just 1/3 of Arab countries joined such a war and went all out, the winner would be clear due to the 10 times greater firepower, manpower, economic power, geographic size, resource richness of just 1/3 of the Arab world. Not to mention 1 times (at least) the amount of religiously motivated people as there are people in Iran, lol.
But let the Iranian regime followers "celebrate" this imaginary victory while the US continues to destroy their economy, add new sanctions all while 100's (if not 1000's) of ordinary Iranians are dying due to lack of medicine. That at least used to be the case until very recently. That and 80 million big Iran, flooded with oil and gas, having a smaller economy than 10 million big UAE. Some "victory". Meanwhile the US continues to piss on the regime and even publicly withdraws from (apparently) binding agreements (nuclear deal).
