Really? How many aircraft carriers with their fleets?

When did aircraft carriers=ability to sustain long wars? Russia has hundreds of naval vessels, including many modern frigates, corvettes and submarines and landing ships and 1 aircraft carrier. Russian aircraft and naval vessels have the same ability to strike targets as aircraft.

Aircraft carrier can’t deliver tanks, soldiers food, or supplies, ect. Russia has the naval and air assets to conduct prolonged operations far from its territory.

Nothing special, hundreds of missiles overwhelmed mostly 1960s air defenses with many of those missiles being intercepted.

I do not doubt the claims of Syrian/Russian defenses being utilized to stop incoming Tomahawk cruise missiles but incredibly difficult to stop them. As command & communications infrastructure weakens in the face of onslaught, chances of stopping a cruise missile reduce further and further accordingly.

Russia is spineless, and doesn't defend its allies it pretends to have. U.S succeeded in making Russia look like a joke. At the very least, they could've helped Syrian AD repel cruise missiles. Why would anymore be ally of Russia??

It's not true. And this has never been part of the Russian military strategy since the cold war. Russian naval deterrence was created solely for the protection of the national territory, is underwater only.

I think Russia has the very ability to respond, but they just can't deal with so many opponents politically and economically at the same time.
