Even Pakistan is saying that it wants good relations with India. It is India which has a problem with Pakistan, China, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sirilanka all across 360 degrees! Pakistan is signalling India to grow up, its India which thinks by ball suking Israel and USA they will gain "dominance" in the region and that would be very good for them! The problem is, they are stuck in a hell hole RSS thinking which is negatively affecting the region.

P.S. be assured, Taliban won't let any proxy wars against Pakistan from Kabul soil. And whatever they do, ISI would be onboard. Its better that India starts looking inwards and focus on its own development. Plus realise the trade potential this region has if territorial problems are solved.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. “Good relations” means allowing the Indians some business in and through Afghanistan (only), in exchange for them not interfering in Afghan affairs (such as supporting the Panjshiris and militants targeted at Pakistan)

Overall, it’s a mutually beneficial compromise, that even Pakistan may begrudgingly accept for stability and peace on its western border.

Down the line it could be the Basis for building the TAPI pipeline, which would mean good behavior on the part of Indians will get them oil supplies and a cutoff of oil if they turn hostile, to both Afghanistan and Pakistan; aka building some leverage into the relationship.

May be I am wrong here in understanding the philosophy and Taliban thought process in keeping their strict following of Islam w.r.t their Politics i.e. they do not resort to double game or U Turns the way current Politicians do so they will “keep their genuine friends close and enemies at arms length…”. Moreover Indian media have also pointed out the future onset of Taliban response IF India will try to poke their nose in Afghanistan …
