Featured BREAKING: Taiwan signs deal to buy 66 F-16 jets from US defence giant Lockheed Martin

J10 canards is made of composites materials so it has negligible RCS

you can easily see who are Chinese trolls here...
Austin, if you are that strong, why do you cry like a baby here?

ok this is a big shift in US policy

and 66 x F16 is also no small order

I wonder the configuration is

The previous Taiwanese F16 are also getting upgraded.

In addition to Taiwan, Morocco is buying 24 F-16s jets in the first tranche of 90 aircraft that the Pentagon said was valued at $4.9 billion. The Pentagon announcement didn’t name Taiwan or Morocco, but they have been identified in a previous statement and were confirmed Friday by a person familiar with the contract.
----
Intersting this verifies the great price drop(due to use orderng a standardized verision in tranches)

~60m a piece

J-10C is not superior but may on par, they have decades of experience to design and develop avionics/ AESA and other system and China is relatively new comer o this field
J-10C is still a very formidable opponent for the F-16V/Block 72.
66 is a number to consider seriously but more importantly Usa and Taiwan simply challenge and scraps China's sovereignity claims on Taiwan. So what will be China's answer to this?
CAC, the designer and manufacturer of the J-10, will supposedly launch a heavily redesigned/upgraded J-10 (J-10NG?) very soon that will propel it into a 5th generation fighter.

A 250 J10B sale to Iran should counter US Ambitions

The game US is playing can be countered easily with large Fighter Jet Orders for Iran ;)

Why not f21 if it's said to be more Superior?
USA wants to subsidize the f16..the way its doing it now is by suppling a single standaradized version called block 70..every one will get this version. the order will be by USA dod and it will act as conduit for further providing it to allies.

so basically USA has just ordered 90 f16s at cost of 4.9b dollars and will now distribute it to its allies, 66 will got to tiawan

this approach has dropped the f16 price from 100 million dollars to less than 60m apiece.
now i guess training and weapons will be a separate cost. but this has made f16 a very attractive option among all the countries that were leaning to buy Gripen/typhoon/rafale or some neutral companies who wanted to buy russian equipment
