Pakistan terrorist Mohd Naveed feeling the cold inside jail, demand warm clothing
Special Judge NIA court YP Kotwal after extending the judicial remand of all accused in the case for 11 more days directed the jail authorities to provide warm clothing to Naveed and carry out his frequent health check ups after every 48 hours during the remand period.

Arrested Pakistani terrorist Mohd Naveed alias Usman, involved in Udhampur attack case where BSF convoy was ambushed on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway wednesday pleaded before the special judge for warm clothing as he was feeling cold inside the jail premises.
Special Judge of NIA court, YP Kotwal after extending the judicial remand of all accused in the case for 11 more days directed the jail authorities to provide warm clothing to Naveed and carry out his frequent health check ups after every 48 hours during the remand period.
"Accused be lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu during remand period and be produced before the competent court on the expiry of the same. Superintendent of the jail shall lodge the accused Naveed at some other suitable place if practicable instead of the alleged cell as per the Jail Manual. Warm clothes be also provided to him. Medical examination of the accused be got conducted after every 48 hours" said YP Kotwal.
It may be mentioned that Special Judge NIA YP Kotwal after hearing Special Prosecuting officer for NIA Wednesday extended 11 days Judicial remand of Mohd Naveed alias Usman S/o Mohd Yaqoob R/o Kukianwala, Rafiq Colony, P.S. Ghulam Mohammed Abad, District Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat S/o Gulam Mohammed Bhat R/o Bhatpora, Chursoo, Awantipora, Pulwama, Showkat Ahmed Bhat S/o Ali Mohd Bhat R/o Village Khardermuh, PS and District Pulwama, J&K and Shabzar Ahmed Bhat S/o Abdul Rashid Bhat R/o Nai Basti, Gulshan Abad, Quimoh, Police Station, Kulgam, District Kulgam (J&K).
Court after perusal of the application and Case Diary file revealed that accused Mohd. Naveed alias Usman was arrested by J&K Police on 05.08.2015, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat was arrested by NIA on 21.08.2015, Showkat Ahmed Bhat was arrested on 02.09.2015 and accused Shabzar Ahmed has been arrested on 13.10.2015. Perusal of CD file further revealed that above mentioned accused persons were remanded to judicial custody vide order dated 26.10.2015 upto 07.11.2015 beyond the period of 90 days in case RC-08/2015/NIA/DLI of PS NIA, New Delhi for offences under section 120/120-B/121/302/307 RPC, 7/27 Arms Act, 14A of Foreigner's Act and 15/16/18/20 Unlawful Activities Prevention Act 1967. Perusal of the CD file further reveals that the investigation of the case is in progress and some of the accused persons involved in the case are still absconding which is causing difficulties in un-earthing the larger conspiracy behind the attack on BSF convoy. Perusal of the CD file further revealed that efforts are on for the arrest of absconding accused and to collect more evidence to finalize the investigation of the case.
During the hearing Pak terrorist Mohd Naveed submitted in the court that jail authorities have kept him in a cell, his continuous lodgement in the said cell is causing mental tension and hardship to him. He has also submitted that warm clothes be provided to him.
Counsel appearing on behalf of the accused Naveed has also urged that warm clothes be provided to the accused and instead of cell, he should be lodged at some other suitable place. However, Special PP has submitted that the accused has been lodged in the alleged cell because of threat to the life of the accused.
