Why make in India for everything. Must be Design and Develop in India.

.
F 16 is soon to become a vintage. Why will India invest in it?

.
Yes they will buy complete plant of SU-34 and other possible Pakistani requirement just to ward off Pakistan from the latest military stuff...
Wait another 6 months. Poor HAL will be asked to make Rafale, PAK FGFA, F-16, Grippen, besides AMCA.

OK then why India is still investing in Tejas...30 year behind the schedule...Where F-16 is a prime fighter in asia a war proven machine.

The first flight of F 16 was 1974, while Tejas was flown for the first time in 2001. Now which is vintage?

Its threads like these that make you realize how pakistanis are more influenced by Indian news than us Indians have ever been.

.
The story is not fake. There is a program for making up to 200 Rafales in India, and more.

And the other 4 competitors are fighting for a second MRCA program for 126 fighters.

Going by that logic first flight of F-22 was in 1997, damn Tejas must be held back for another 20 years since it's so ahead of it's time.
@ topic, as i said earlier, had the Americans agreed to the Indian demands ,,,, the MMRCA deal would have long been concluded on the F-16.....but the fan boys think, it never met IAF specifications......far from it. .... one day you may know the real story. ;)

Tejas and the reason is that since 1974 or the date of induction F-16 proved its metal and continuously upgraded...more on above worlds top air forces shows confidence on the machine and inducted it in large numbers where Tejas was refused by the Indian air force and listed many shortfalls but Govt by force forcing it down to their throat.

The MMRCA deal was designed for the Rafale.

IAF showed the least interest in the F-16 out of all the western jets, they showed more interest in the SH.

. . .
ON different notes, what would be Pakistan;s response in case F-16 are going to be manufactured in Indian?
Due to India's vast experience we may request a F-16 variant with attached toilet. This will increase the ability to stay Airborne for longer periods of time.

India is investing Tejas because it is a platform for our further fighter aircraft development.
pakistanis stopped trolling our missile and helicopter program, I guess they will also leave trolling us by then. But you guys can enjoy till then, because it is one of only few issues which, trolling can be done. This trolling also shelve soon.
