Pakistan Army takes up one more civilian govt duty to ensure the success of games.
Although I am happy that PSL final will take place in front of local crowd, it also saddens me to see that Army has to get into ensuring safety during a local event. This entire thing dilutes the entire structure of democratic governance and there responsibilities.

Look forward to PSL finals @lahore, I wish I could be there to relish the food joints of Lahore which would will be buzzing high...

Pakistan must carry PSL final in Lahore. It will be a blow to those extremist who do not want that match to be played in Pakistan. Bef up security and play that match in Pakistan and Lahore in particular.

Corruption, match fixing and spot fixing have already tainted PSL. It surprises me on how the first edition of PSL was corruption free. It is even more surprising that PSB is letting go of tainted cricketers almost with out any punishment. More than Lahore blast, the actions of Pakistani cricketers has hurt PSL more. The brand value of PSL is at stake

The damage has been done. Pakistan enemies have won.

As soon as there is news or effort of foreign cricketers or cricket teams being convinced of returning to Pakistan, a bomb explodes in Lahore. Today there was a suicide attack in Peshawar too.

It seems to me some forces dont want Pakistan to be seen to be returning to normal. In general, there is no law and order situation. But with our perception and a bomb blast in of the main cities is just enough to scare off foreigners.

Our neighbors provide sanctuaries and material help to carry out such attacks. But since our governments from time of Musharraf have been compromised, they cant talk with courage that a national leader should have. Successive governments since 2005 in Pakistan have gained power through powerful foreign friends or have their loot to hide in foreign countries. In such situations, national security is compromised for a political thug's political interest and survival.

In Panama case, we have seen plenty of evidence of Sharif hiding his loot abroad and his connections with Qataris in personal capacity while holding a public office. Sharif also has very deep business relations with Indian steel businessmen. Its a moral as well as financial corruption but then even on this forum, very educated people come to defend these bastards.

We cant expect Sharif or Zardari before him to take a principled, strong stance on Pakistan's security.

So we need army to host PSL final? It shows serious security situation in Pakistan. I don't think any of top 6 international team will come in Pakistan . It is miracle if retired international player come in Pakistan to play PSL. Even if PSL final happens in Pakistan under Army, I don't think situation will improve. It will take time
