I have gone through people comments on this thread but like to add other end of this story:
1. Contrary to general view that The US/Trump is all talks & no action it is South Korea and China which is asking for Time from Washington. Trump Just want to remove remaining 30K us soldiers from South and will not shy to retaliate with Nucs to these tests by North.

2. Same holds true with Japan. Japan is facing more US pressure for more soldiers for Korean peninsula which Japs think is peculiar situation as Japs are not welcomed by Koreans either and have nothing to gain from outcome of this war.

If South and japs not made there mind in due course then probably we see US fleet start reducing numbers.

South is perusing US to give some room to North which Trump is not interested.

China and Russia are Just spectators but if Nuclear war happened then Beijing will get affected for sure.
