If SC has jurisdiction over this than there is nothing wrong in their concerns , that's how things work in Democracy , but if its not under their jurisdiction than who is directing these Judges to meddle in places where they are not suppose to ?

Does every Corruption/Murder/Treason case in Pakistan has been resolved ? Does Judges has no other case to hear ? those cases which has something to do with National security ? We need some rules like US , where President Appoints the SC judge .

Blast from the past.

After removal of Banazir Bhutto from power in November 1996 , Nawaz Sharif won elections in February 1997.
The supreme court started a corruption and contempt of court case against him.
In November 1997 the supreme court was attacked by Nawaz Sharif supporters and Chief Justice had to ask for Army protection. At the same time 10 judges of supreme court threatened the chief justice of removing him from the post.

an innocent person hanged and judiciary was silent. a women faced jail for 35 years for a case of killing her parents but later she proved innocent but not a single comment from CJ but now suo motto .
extension is another issue but CJ interference is really hurting interest of our country

That is also my understanding. Farogh Naseem clarified in his press conference that it is the government that has been given 6 months to amend the law, in order to legalize the COAS's extension of tenure.

The title of this thread should be changed. It is absurd that even after the clarification, headlines on Dawn, The News, The Express Tribune, and other major papers are still saying that the SC has given the COAS an extension of 6 months. That decision is beyond the purview of the SC. It is patently false, and gives the impression that Pakistan's institutions are in conflict.

i think gen bajwa should turn down this offer of 3 months from cjp if he has dignity as cjp has done so much damage to his dignity,coas should not behave as beggar in front of cjp or anyone

We aren't in normal days with India, its war like situation with India, New COAS take times at least 6 months formulate himself at new post, as @Horus sir said in another thread

I think Pakistan need a strong Media monitoring regulations otherwise media is going to destroy Pakistan. IK government must do something about media.

1. Many news channels/News Shows are funded by Foreign agencies to make Pakistan look weak with Anti-state and Anti-army agenda. Action should be taken from FIA and PEMRA against those TV channels who are getting Foreign funding and from anti-state elements.
2. Some news channels, due to political/corrupt mafia pressure and from their funding, are spreading lies, fake news, negativity, hopelessness. PEMRA must take action against them.
3. We need strong media laws to catch and heavy fine new channels for Fake news.
   • if the news channels doesn’t stop after 3 times, PEMRA should ask channel to stop airing that show and you if channel doesn’t stop, it should be banned for 30 days.
4. Pakistan has 33 news channel compare to USA which has 3 to 4 national news channels.
   
5. Pakistan should have only 6 National news channels and rest can focus on city/regional news.
   
6. Government must stop issuing licenses to new news channels.
7. Government should add More entertainment and sports channels.
8. We need promote sports like Football (soccer), Baseball, MMA, tennis, table tennis, Olympic sports, etc. we need to have high quality sports Channels.

There is 2 justice system in Pakistan 1 for rich/elites where their case is runs like a lightning speed and they have the capability to buy JUDGES and opponents lawyers and harass opponents, for the common people of Pakistan their cases runs like a snail speed, and often cases doesn't reach the verdict, for my uncle's (Mamoon) house captured by MQM representative in Karachi, this case runs for only 17 years and didn't reach the verdict, that MQM representative left my uncle's (mamoon) house when his son killed in a encounter with PPP, that shows how good our judiciary system is

Justices got a lot of balls picking on the institution that has historically easily dismissed them to the fullest extent, from Ayub to Musharraf. What good’s your constitution against the stick? But still impressive to see.
