Breaking News: IAF Mirage-2000 jet lands on Yamuna Expressway

. .
Seems like a VERY tight fit...

Anyways good job.

. . . . .
Is this the first time the IAF is doing this?
what is the need of this,as a Big country we have Bases as far as South and North East even if our Western Airbases were attack during war ,jets flying from Other Bases would bomb our adversary to kingdom come,As most of their Bases situated very near our border just a Brahmos Away.

This Circus is for small countries IMO

Can small to medium passenger liner land in a situation like this, in case of emergency??

.
the road width is too narrow, it would have been difficult for the pilot, hats off to him.....
Good landing no doubt but as long as wings are clear it's not that difficult. Remember the SAA B-747 on retirement landing on just 15 meter wide runway .

News for us because India is too far behind Pakistan :coffee:

Wow at the Pakistanis here trying to prove a point. It is irrelevant who did this first as this is not a particularly impressive capability to have, if this is the only area you can "best" India on, that's quite sad really.

Pakistan has almost no depth and thus requires a secondary airfield capability, India can look into it but isn't facing the same compulsions as the PAF.

An Interesting interpretation by Amul!!
