Breaking News : Afghan Army Chief Sacked

hope the AT and ANA battle each other out to a stalemate... and are then forced to sit and talk and come to an agreement. US did the same thing that USSR did. they left others to pick up the pieces instead of forcing all parties to form an agreed upon power sharing formula.

.
If AT adopt a rapid gain strategy then before the start of November this year (Note: personally I believe AT will adopt this strategy)

If AT want to gain political support from other ethnic factions of Afghanistan and to punish Ghani regime without violence then they will surround & blocked Kabul completely for winter season but would made attempt to seize it only at the beginning of Spring let say after mid of March next year.

Personally I don't think AT will wait that long.
I think it's more dependent on the willingness of ANA to fight...
...if they flee and there is mass desertion then Afghan Taliban will win of course...
...if they decide to stand their ground and fight...then Afghan Taliban(even with a rapid gain strategy using all their might) will be bogged down in a drawn out fight city to city for a long time to come(basically another civil war for Afghanistan like the one in the past).

So I have some basic disagreement with the premise that ANA is Afghanistan’s representative military as they control less 18% of the country. so we should now start calling them the rebel Goverment!

I also did not know the ANA had leaders thought it operated like a militia with a lot of corrupt warlords joining them

Most likely he bribed the govt to sack him so he can run to united states as asylum seeker whose life is in danger in Afghanistan.
