Breaking monopoly: Volkswagen to plant its feet in Pakistan?

.
The only concern with Volkswagon is the price. I think Fiat, Peugeot and Skoda are pretty good affordable European options we should also consider and I am sure they will also give a hard time to Suzuki.

Because Pakistan is better than india in many aspects as per many Pakistanis and chinese in this forum...

A lot of you Indians play foolish here and this is reflected in your post. We expect something better than this stupidity. If you cant do better, then shutting up is a better option.

When the comparison is against trolls such as yourself who can't engage in a proper discussion then the observation you referenced is completely valid.

I take it then that you don't really have a proper response to my question in the previous post.

If they are really selling automobiles at less expensive price than other models then they can break the monopoly of other manufacturers.

One thing that is very commendable about Japanese companies is that they are willing to do business in any market. doesn't matter how poor/underdeveloped it is. Western companies would never put faith in underdeveloped markets like Pakistan.

When India had no base in automobile manufacturing, Suzuki came to India and taught us how build cars part by part. Western companies never built factories in India until late 1990s when India had some significant base in automobile manufacturing.

I gotta give it to the Japs. They do a good job no matter which market they work in.

Graduate Pakistanis should spend one year in learning German or italian etc...Then they should go europe to respective countries for higher education... chances are they will feed the need of world class manufacturer in Pakistan and its supporting industries.. its not just about VW but also Mercedes, BMW, BOSCH and Siemens. and a lot of others agencies

I think Tata and birlla were still industrial giants back then... you may not know but infant Pakistan, hired their services for its first air lines.

WOW!! Good job guys! I'm very happy for you. A very high-class brand, from a world renowned automobile powerhouse (all of the most luxurious and top speed brands are owned by VW). And let's be honest, if Pakistan finally manages to unleash intself (energy from Iran, investments from China and peace at home), you'll become a large player. Huge and growing market. Hopefully in the not too distand future a free trade agreement with Iran, and normalization of relations with you kin, India. Then, you'll open up your full potential. Such exciting times ahead for Asia! (I'm Turkish and Iranian btw)

The terms on which VW is seemingly coming are not suitable for manufacturing. We need to create a policy that emphasizes manufacturing not assembly.
