@DarkElf TheFlyingPretzel and Zarvan are blinded by either lack of knowledge or hatred.
France did not invade Iraq and made sure that invasion would remain illegal by UN standards
for which we were insulted by the dumb fringe of American Conservatives :
"Punish France, ignore Germany, forgive Russia." That was the pithy summary of American
policy towards Europe attributed to then National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice in the spring
of 2003, during the peak of the transatlantic bust-up over Iraq.
'Punish France, Ignore Germany, Forgive Russia' No Longer Fits | Brookings Institution
and is one of the staunchest supporters of Palestine for which we were blasted by Netanayahu.
Both of you guys just showed one of the problems that plagues the image of Islam concerning
terrorism. Namely, the epidermic reactions of those who, while not terrorists, hurt the image of
Umma by making stupid remarks oscillating between condoning the acts themselves and doing
so for invalid reasons thus making it seems as if all Muslims were pro-violence and irrational.
Then because the absence of a trans-Islamic head clergy, few voices rise to balance this per-
ception and the impression of Islam by the dumb fringe of Westerners is tainted correspondingly.
My personal view of Islam is good because I know peaceful intelligent Muslims aplenty including
clerics but I then have a very difficult time in explaining this to other Westerners for such answers.
On a more general plane that does not include religion, be rational, do not use knowledge you don't
fully possess, always check your sources prior when you do and once the error is committed …
have the honesty to acknowledge it.
We all make mistakes. Only those that refuse to learn from them can be blamed and avoided.
Sorry for the harsh words both but if I had said as much wrong about Pakistan incorrectly, shaming
it when it was in fact the good nation, I feel certain that I would have not heard the end of it for that.
All of which without a single word for the victims by the way, no respect for that!
Requiescat in Pace to the innocents and sad but good day to all of good will, Tay.
