Breaking: F-22 shoots down third high altitude flying object over Canadian airspace

So Chinese keep sending balloon after balloon and F-22 keep flying without a break to shoot them?

At this flying rate F-22 will go out of service in the next year or two.

Nice comedy show.

I think the Chinese are trying to coax the US into flying one of our super-secret craft over China so everybody can finally get a look at it.

Very doubtful that the Chinese learn much from F-22 shooting down the balloons. And its good exercise for the pilots in detecting and tracking enemy targets. And keeping NORAD on their toes. What defenses need to be improve. Maybe figure a way to get the balloons down cheaper. Maybe use lasers in future in terms of range and height.
AIM-9X cost over $400k a piece.

U.S. and Canadian Air Forces work jointly over North American airspace. This was a higher altitude target, so a F-22 was more suitable. Also, having shot down a couple of them in a week, they can probably do it blindfolded now as soon as it touches the 12-mile mark.
Doesn't f15 have a similar sealing
