Breaking: Coalition airstrikes underway against multiple Iranian-backed militia sites in Iraq

Many contractors wear similar if not the same "uniform" as the regular military. Once killed, if they claim they were soldiers all along, how would anyone know otherwise?
They must provide the name , rank and the service numbers of their military. Contractors do not have them. Wearing Simple combat uniform is not enough.

To deploy people as contractors give you the unique opportunity of plausible deniability. The downside is that these contractors are not prorected by the Geneva convention. Only 'uniformed' soldiers can claim protection under Geneva convention if they are held as PoW.
Important legal point. Legal status of US troops in Iraq???

Looks like Irak will get divided just like Syria...
Possible....but even if, probably unintentionally...smh.

All failed states should be divided. This is the most practical solution.
Deep, but this view is probably seen as ultra realistic, it also inadvertently disturbs many networks and other parts of societies.

It's okay, the US is just fueling it's military industrial complex, it's not about Iraq or the ME. Iran is just feeding the beast.

It’s seems these fukers don’t learn last time they killed PMF/PMU members then their embassy got sieged then attacked by missiles than Iraqi parliament asked them to leave but they didn’t now their embassy and forces are being attacked Dailey it seems they never learned from their stupidity after the Iranian revolution and when they hosted the shah they should have left soon as ayatollah khomieni took over and all the hostage crisis wouldn’t happen since they knew Iranians were angry at the shah which they supported and gave him medical treatment later.
I think this time their time embassy will become rubble.

What are the air defense capabilities of PMU ? It seems that they were unprepared against the sort of attack they are facing now.

Those units are a legal part of the Iraqi goverment, they were attacked without any investigation or legal grounds in a complete disregard for the country's sovereignity.

Times change... history cannot be unwritten.
.. Iraqi are the first one selling out their country men. Where do you think US get intel who did it....??

Hi,

Remember---they europeans were coming out of a 100 years war---. They were better warriors---they were better planners---they had better training for war---they had better and more modern weaponry---. They were hungry---they were broke---.

They were more committed---they had more loyalty towards their leader---coming out of a war they had more camaraderie and trust amongst each other---.

The sub continent was fat---it was rich---people were lazy---weaponry was obsolete---war techniques were outdated---they were used to an enemy that was weak and meek---.

The sub continent was a stagnant cesspool of filth and corruption---and ready to be taken by a strong raiding party---.
Add to the list, people were not loyal to the rulers.... and often the ruling elites was of diff race/ ethnicity and religion than people being ruled.

So there is no attack yet . just the usual blame iran or iran backed people tactics.

The present Iraqi government is the fruit of the US troops' presence following the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Both the Iraqi government and the US troops are illigal in Iraq. We probably would have seen similar US backed parasitic government in Syria if Assad was defeated.

A top Iranian commander believed to have been killed in these strikes.
any valid information to back this up? someone started this rumor on twitter but had no backup evidence. Actually, it seems US didnt kill PMU militia men..

US airstrikes carried out in Iraq just after midnight on Friday may have killed an Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps general supposedly named Siamand Mashhadani. Reports online in Arabic and in other local media have claimed he was killed in the attacks on five locations of pro-Iranian Kataib Hezbollah warehouses that the US carried out in retaliation to a rocket attack that killed three Coalition personnel on March 11.

According to Al-Ain media the Iranian officer was killed in the US airstrikes that took place. Reports of his death circulated around one in the morning in Iraq. He was an officer in the Quds Force of the IRGC, the same force once headed by Qasem Soleimani.

A rumour, but seems to be something in it.

Considering the Mughals were decadents of the Mongols, they should have kept up their war preparedness, as that's what got them to power, and sooner or later it was going to be necessary once again. Its not like the Mughals were unaware of the developments in the west, as they traded with the west. This was also the same problem for the Muslims in Spain.

Hard times creates Strong men, Strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.

Problem with Mughals they didn’t enforce their warrior culture and went into art and architecture and wasted time on this useless garbage that serves no purpose what so ever. Dude builds a Taj Mahal to honor a dead female, while marrying 10+ times, had they invested in R&D among other things these gangus wouldn’t have been *** raped by the Brits for a 100 years.

I often times hate our Desi Culture because it lacks sophistication and innovation. You look at TV all they talk about is Shadi, she vomits and faints and within 2 weeks delivers a baby that’s suddenly aged 2 years — and sas and bahu crap starts.

With this sort of shit mentality you don’t develop warriors, but instead Joru Ka Gulams who have their legs opened like McDonalds arches.
