INNALILLA HI WA INNA ILAYHI RAJEEOONBlast reported inside Shia Masjid Rawalpindi.....
May they rest in peace.
When will we see an end to these animals?
Pakistan after its foundation used to be a very moderate Islamic country, and absolute majority of population are the same still, but what changed that led to these animals showing off by blowing people up and all these extremism by terrorists and their sympathizers? It's something more than militancy, it's a corrupted ideology that has came to Pakistan from outside, there has been some silent domestic potential too.
And a question to fellow Pakistanis, if you are to give a number, out of every 100 Pakistanis, how many of them could be potentially Taliban or their sympathizers? Their number just seems to be infinite, no matter how much you kill from them.

I wish I had privilege to give a positive rating for this writeup. Very well crafted indeed.Pakistan is a country of 180 million people sharing a POROUS border on one side with a narcotics state that has been in a state of civil war off and on for much of the last half century (or more). On the east a hostile neighbour whose actions in Kashmir has certainly radicalized people both in the Pakistani mainland as well as in AZAD J&K.
A country where a vast majority are young. A country with economic disparity. It's certainly a country with huge potential and the media never shows you the great sides of Pakistan (the corporate sector, the NGOs, the young and energetic people of great ideas).
But there are issues. Hell - you have issues with extremism too, especially in your east. Iran is a pseudo dictatorship - you hang your criminals bandits rapists and terrorists and scare others into NOT mis-behaving. We have a fragile democracy where politicians are never on the same page. A dictatorship would be a lot easier to run.
And also remember that it only takes even 5,000 - 50,000 the create serious trouble. We are fighting an insurgency and also an idea (takfiri ideology). There's a section of society (a small one) that was bred to hate, bred to be intolrant - and brain-washed to be judge jury and executioner. These are the people we are trying to get rid of. All stake-holders must be on the same page.
It's easy to criticise and point fingers. It's harder (but more useful) to devise solutions. And the solution is for the military to handle all terrorism related suspects, for the judiciary to grow a spine, and for the LEADERSHIP to be honest and deliver to the people rather than deliver our money to their bank accounts.
Those of us who are sane recognize that we have issues. It's not dooms-day anytime soon - but there are issues with intolerance within the society and within the scores of outsiders whom we have let into this country with open arms (some of them who end up being ingrateful back-stabbers)
i hate to say it - but i agree

You never know when you'll die in Islamabad-Pindi region right now. And if there are Potohari(the "Punjabis" from Chakwal, Jhelum, Attock and Rawalpindi districts, and even Mirpur and Bhimber for that matter) members on PDF, I would ask you all one thing; have you ever heard of shia-sunni violence in Pindigheb, Talagang, Chakwal, Jhelum, etc? Are these "job seekers" really "job seekers" or "invaders"? After all, what do you call an outsider(read; alien) who brings his shit into your home?
And yes, you can accuse me of racism, but this shit is not a part of our culture. We might have our flaws, but sectarianism isn't one. A Peshawari can kill as many shiites in Peshawar, and a Jhangvi can kill as many shiites in Jhang, but don't bring your shit to our ancestral home. Also, we need to act fast and separate our homeland from the sectarian Punjab. Otherwise it would be too late, and there would only be one option left. We deserve the right to decide how our cities run. It's not fair that people of Lahore run our cities.
