Brain-splitting equation that even a MATHS TEACHER can't solve

. .
there's no answer, because that blue flower with 4 petals can be from another specie that no one knows its value :D

.
Kindergartners do not have concept of infinity.
True. This is not an answer for that the kid original mind would thinking. But an answer a mathematician would put as the most logical answer.

.
1 + (20 * four-pf)

four-pf = four-petal flower

As the value of the five-petal flower is 5, IF we can assume the value of the four-petal flower to be 4, answer would be 81.

.
If number or size of petals were important, then Red flower should also have 20 Petals and/or size 20 times larger than yellow flower.

And since kindergartner do not have concept of infinity, I would still go with 101 which is correct answer if number of flowers and their colour is taken into account ignoring their internal structure.

That's why I think that people who are giving too much credence to size and number of petals and taking two flowers as square are overthinking it.

This problem was designed to only take colour and number into consideration, ignoring internal structure.
No. Even if that 4 petal flower has a 5th petal, it will still be of different size of the original 5 blue flower. Of course we can assume and should assume that the color is correct and the two yellow flower split equal to 1. That is an assumption that make logical sense. What it will not make logical sense is the last 4 petal flower which not only different in number of petal but its size and shape are changing as a result. Due to that, the kid who created the question is not even thinking deeply logical enough of a real answer.

.
Someone made a bad sketch of the problem.. People are making big puzzle out of it.. Answer is 101 or bad sketch has murdered the baby puzzle

.
Then what is the answer?

The answer is there is no snswer or a infinite number of answers.

The problem was first posted online by a famous Chinese actress and mother of two named Sun Li, whose actor husband was invited to give his answer.

It typfies the kind of head scratching problems Chinese kids face from kindergarten to high school.

. .
If we take structure of flowers (size and number of petals) into account them Red flower does not satisfy any condition , which would make this problem as no solution problem, rather than infinite solution one.

Due to existence of red flower, the only way this problem would ever make sense is if number of petals and size of flower (both of which are internal qualities) is ignored.
A no answer is similar to an infinite number of answer. The answer can be 101, 81, an infinite fraction of 80-81, or any number of answers ranging from 1 to gazillion all depending on the person reference. Logically, it's infinity. But from a simple kid answer, then it's 81. You just have to answer the question that reflect the person asking the question. For example, if a kid asks you this question your answer should be straight forward and it will satisfy him/her. But if a mathematician asks you this, then you must provide an infinite answer.

.
The problem puts to test a kid's abstract thinking, imaginal thinking and logical thinking.

.
Red Flower = 20
Blue Flower = 5
2 Yellow Flowers = 2 so one equal = 1

Yellow + Red * Blue
1 + 20 * 5 = 105
