i have no issue in accepting the fact that Brahmos is nothing more than a upgraded Yankoot with restricted range or Arhaint enjoyed a lot of Russian support hell even our PM accepts that...

U didn't get my point, Safriz was saying that Russians borrowed brahmos guidance system in a barter for GLONASS military signals n the OPs article has is BS by providing a link which says Russia is going to test a Kh-101 with improved guidance system n nothing more(no mention of even the word Brahmos in the whole article)...

my point was since Russia has already agreed to provide India with military signals of GLONASS n Brahmos is more of a JV, so his notion of barter was out of the box that all....

that the range for export variant of P800 bcoz of MTCR, AFAIK the Russian version has a much larger range...

Of course not, the navigation system is just an upgrade to all Brahmos missiles and has more to do with Indo-Russian JVs wrt GLONASS sat guidance, than with a general improvement in range. The author is simply making it sound more sensational, while stating also that the range is between 300 and 500Km, not generally 500Km. This difference is caused by the fact that we talk about about the same missile, but launched from different plattforms!
Brahmos launched from ground launchers will have around 300Km range, while the air launched version benefits from launch altitude or speed of the launch plattform to increase it's range.

PS- Does anyone knows the actual range of Russian Yankoot missile...

Frankenstein because They have merged Brahmos Seeker and navigation system into existing Ruusian Missiles KH-101 and KH-55
and in return Borrowed their GLONASS navigation system for Brahmos.

Brahmos wont have Strategic range,it will be the Subsonic KH-101 which is being tested a s we speak,and will have strategic role next year and used by Russia not India.

Oh please the same site says the BrahMos will too be equiped with the nav system of Kh-101 and Kh-555.

No where in your link does it say that it is specifically for the Kh-101.
So stop crying.
