BrahMos-A Integrated with IAF Sukhoi Su-30MKI

Mate Brahmos is NOT an Air to Air Missile
For attacking tankers and Enemy fighters you need
Long range Air to Air missiles such as Astra ; R 77

Mate . Why do you think BrahMos can't be used for targeting Aircraft ?

Tankers , AWACS and Aircraft can be targeted . In Air to Air mode.

.
WE will use bramos for many different roles. Including taking out bridges , dams , radar, Ammo depo , Oil Tankers , early-warning radars Aircraft etc.

Your opinions ?

Let's say Jf17(full upgraded Block 5) or Chinese Su 35 spotted Sukoi MKI with Bramos approaching to intercept ur fleet at 350 KM . Then what ? What you will fire at Su MKI at 350 km ? But IAF will fire it's bramos at your early warning aircraft or Tanker or ur squadrons . You can just wait and get hit. Bramos travels at 2.5 times of sound.Faster than ur aircrafts. 300 km is not that far. Now imagine Sukoi firing bramos while it's travelling at mach 1.5 from higher altitude . It will increase the speed and range like every other missiles. Our pilot will have enough time to take position and fire. Small debris can affect other aircraft aswell .

I don't think it will take 5 years . And by 5 years we will have hypersonic BrahMos.
lol, brahmos is not A2A missile to attack enemy fighter jets.. get correct. other wise pak members are ready to troll your post :agree::agree::lol::lol:

It would be used First for Radars and SAM sites

Once SAM sites are neutralised Fighter Bombers can attack other targets with ease

Pakistan critical infrastructure is located near the border and within the range of Brahmos something which U.S did O.P Iraqi Freedom.

And Brahmos is a cruise Missile then how can it destroy a Tanker or AWACS,i think for that India will have Nivotor k 100

No they cant be targetted by Brahmos

Brahmos lauched from an SU 30 will work like this

Broadsword: Brahmos with Sukhoi-30 fighters to improve India’s strike options

A Brahmos air launch is a relatively straightforward affair. Before take-off, the target coordinates are fed into the missile. When the Su-30MKI reaches the designated launch point, probably just short of the border to maximise range, the pilot releases the Brahmos. The missile drops clear of the aircraft before its booster ignites; then, powered by a ramjet, it quickly accelerates to more than twice the speed of sound providing little reaction time to enemy air defence fighters and missiles. Guided by navigation satellites, its inertial navigation system takes it precisely to its target.

I read it somewhere of its Air to Air role. ..Why it can't me used against AWACS or Tanker fleet ?

We cannot use Brahmos for every target because of Cost implications

Prithvi and Prahar will also be used

Once SAM sites are down ; Jaguars and other bombers can attack targets easily

Then you have to only worry about enemy FIGHTERS

So our bombers will be escorted by SU 30 and Mig 29

I read it somewhere of its Air to Air role. ..Why it can't me used against AWACS or Tanker fleet ?

Because Air to Air Missiles work in a DIFFERENT manner than Air to Ground Missiles

Please do some research on the internet

BrahMos has two air launched variants - BrahMos-A and Brahmos-M - While BrahMos-A is meant for Su-30MKI only, the Brahmos-M which is a smaller variant of the air-launched BrahMos can be integrated with Mirage 2000, LCA Tejas, Dassault Rafale and Indian navy's MiG-29K. The miniaturized version would also have a range of 290 km, but it will be shorter by three metres as compared to the present missile. The Sukhoi SU-30MKI would carry three missiles while other combat aircraft would carry one each.

MKI's still lack the crucial AESA radars. They should be upgraded to the Super Sukhoi configuration.
If we are working on BrahMos M then what would be the use of BrahMos A
I mean MKI's can carry multiple M's in place of a heavy A
Is there a range difference??

Brahmos M is just a concept

The design and development has not yet started

If it becomes successful then a MKI can carry 3 Brahmos M
and other planes such as Mig 29 and Jaguar / Mirage can all carry ONE each

But a lot of work is required ; At least this Brahmos A is in our Hand
we can use it in a conflict

Why would i reveal classified information?
More pertinently, how would you know classified information?

You don't know the RCS of Brahmos, and your assertion about it was pulled out from thin air. Since you have been given a title by PDF, you might want to desist from this armchair air marshalling.

IAF can hardly fly without crashing. Indians make a plastic model for boasting. It doesn't even have any engines.

You have the potential to be a 'Think tank analyst'.

Thx man, rare gesture from a Bangladeshi
I was wondering which news was better
BrahMos news or a pdf Bangladeshi congratulating India

I read it somewhere of its Air to Air role. ..Why it can't me used against AWACS or Tanker fleet ?
You must have heard about the air version....
it means air launched not air to air

For AAM's we have other options such as Python,Derby,Astra

And Pakistan also has air to air weapons such as sd10,aim120 and a darter

Don't be silly of course a Bangladeshi congratulating us is the better one

Actually the Air Force version of BrahMos M is supposed to be a Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missile compatible with future platforms namely, the Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) and Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft (FGFA).

BrahMos M will take some five to six years before it is test fired given that the agreement with Russia is signed today. The agreement is still to be signed with the Russians.
