Bra saves woman's Life

A Detroit woman avoided serious injury when the underwire on her bra deflected a bullet shot at her from next door, according to 'The Telegraph'.

The 57-year-old woman, who lives on the city's west side, saw a group of men breaking into a neighbour's house on Tuesday morning. When the men spotted her, one of them fired a shot at her, a police spokesman said.

The bullet struck the underwire on the woman's bra and that saved her from a more serious injury, police said.

"It did slow the bullet down," said Phillip Cook, a Detroit police spokesman. "She sustained injuries but they're not life threatening."

The woman, who was not identified, was treated at a nearby hospital. The suspects in the shooting drove away.

Just last week in Brazil, another woman's life was saved with a bit of help from her undergarments.

A woman who was shot in the chest by robbers on a bus in the northeastern Brazilian state of Bahia survived the attack because she had stuffed money into her bra.

Because of frequent armed robberies on buses in the region, when 58-year-old Ivonete Pereira decided to take the bus to her summer home, she stuffed 150 reals (£45) in 20 and 10-real notes inside her bra.

The cash absorbed most of the impact when Mrs Pereira was caught in the crossfire during a shoot-out with police.

A few years ago, fresh out of college I took on an overseas assignment that took me to the southern most tip of South America where the locals mix their Malbec wine with sparking water. Being part French my reaction was perhaps somewhat similar to yours above. But after a few months in Patagonia, I began to appreciate everything that was unique and wonderful about that part of the world. My message to you is to be tolerant and keep an open mind - life just seems a whole lot better that way.

Lap of luxury. Stay at some gorgeous Hacienda on a large ranch, eat lovely steaks and lamb, drink great Argentine cabernet sauvignon, and fish all day.

By the way, talking about Wine, try Carmenere (Red wine), it is chileian wine, close to merlot, but better.

You are sounding as if you are suffering form little blue pill withdraw symptoms.
Muradk did suggest you just take half a pill to help you along..

Why just discuss bras, they are delicate bits of underclothing women wear that are to be removed tenderly and with care. Treat the owner the same way also tenderly and with care..

Now good wine is similar, delicate in taste, and handled with care. As for selection I grew very fond of a particular McLaren Vale, Australia, cabernet sauvignon. Well since the family knew the owners of the winery good quantities were easily available, not to mention the free tasting at each visit.
I did come across some nice Cabernet style wind from Spain also very nice, so was the price of a bottle.

i posted a lot in that thread ,if you go through the pages,you can see.....but when it became a mud throwing contest with religious insult i abandoned the thread after a certain limit......i will again post there if others make sense with their post there....thnx

Talking about wines, I get atleast 5 to 7 bottles of wines free every week. Austrialian wines are well known for Shiraz, but try the blend of "shiraz viognier", that is excellent. Shiraz tends to get real heavy sometimes.

Australians are making good wines--specially their cabernets and shiraz---I like the penfolds cabernet with some nice juicy lamb chops.
