Boy's severed arm saved by efforts of many in Xinjiang

Video of the real events which happened one and a half years ago.

.
Western media will never report such stories about Xinjiang. I wonder any Xinjiang's neighboring countries and regions in central and south Asia would ever take such an effort to save a village boy's arm.
The better question is why Western Media report that, I mean do your CCTV report how Australian aboriginal people travel thousands of km a day to seek medical treatment?? It's not an uncommon occurrence for aboriginal to travel thousand or even tens of thousands of km to seek medical treatment, both elective and urgent, as there are no functioning hospital in their settlement.

They don't report that because there are no value outside China (or in my example, outside Australia) It's not something new or innovational to travel that long to have the severed hand re-attached.

There are many good development stories from Xinjiang, do western reporters report them at all? you mean western media is not biased against China?

I am saying those "Good Development" story are for Domestic Consumption, that have no international report value. That is a different question on whether or not Western Media is biased against China, because that would be yes, or are you saying Chinese media is not biased against the West??

Again, did China care to report about Sir Tom Moore? A 99-year-old army veteran who walks in his backyard to raise fund for NHS in the UK. Have you heard about that man??

Or how about Actor Danny Trejo who help rescue a baby kid from an overturn car??

You don't, because those "good development" is more or less for domestic consumption. I wouldn't blame the Chinese media to not report that. So why should western media report this at all??

We heard touching stories about how people's lives are saved in the west from the Chinese media too, saving lives with great effort is worth reporting everywhere, but this is not my point, do you see positive western reporting about Xinjiang of anything at all?
Chinese media is like Chinese foreign policy, only cares about domestic reporting, it turns sours to the west from only very recent years to defend China after years of relentless China bashing by the western media.

Dude, it's not about "You Heard" you are talking about why this is "NOT REPORTED" by Western Media.

So please send me some CCTV "Reporting" good development from the West and I will send you some good development in China reported by the Western Media, one to one and see who will come out ahead??

Okay, you show me what CCTV coverage on good development in Los Angeles and I show you one in Xinjiang??
That will derail this thread, how about we start a new thread for good development of Los Angeles and Xinjiang?

.
No, do it here. You ARE already derailed your own thread by talking about Western Media.

You know what, I start first

This is MSN picked up Xinhua reporting on Xinjiang First high Plateau Airport.

Now, your turn, please.

Again, you ALREADY DID.

No where in the topic this is about Western Media not reporting said incident. So why not show me one of your CCTV reporting on Los Angeles Good Development?? I had already done it.

Either put it out or shut it, it's that simple.

This thread has nothing to do with LA, I already started one in US section, we can discuss LA there.

Doctors treat a boy who had his arm reattached at the affiliated TCM hospital of Xinjiang Medical University in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, on May 4. ZHANG WANDE/FOR CHINA DAILY

A news conference was held by the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on Tuesday to commend doctors, police officers and other people that helped to save the severed arm of a 7-year-old boy a few days ago.

On the afternoon of April 30, the Uygur boy's right arm was cut off accidentally by a tractor mechanism in Hotan prefecture's Kumairik village. Surgery was required within eight hours to save it.

Dozens of people in different positions in society made a coordinated effort to send the injured boy to the hospital of traditional Chinese medicine affiliated with Xinjiang Medical University in Urumqi to have surgery to reattach and repair the arm. The last flight to Urumqi — China Southern Airlines Flight CZ6820 — was stopped on the runway and sent back to the terminal pick up the boy. He arrived at the hospital in time and his severed limb was successfully reattached. Broken bone fragments were realigned.

At the news conference, Arkin Rajap, a doctor at a local hospital in Hotan prefecture; Izhar Mamtimin, a police officer who escorted the boy's ambulance; Zhao Yan, the airliner's chief steward who cared for the boy during the flight; Li Li, an orthopedic surgeon at the TCM hospital who performed the operation; and a number of other people involved in the rescue were commended for their efforts.
