Rape is a common problem worldwide but in India rapes are pretty brutal to the point where women gets their organs and private parts ripped off or even gets killed. I still can't forget the Delhi rape case.

Because they inhuman. If one critically observes Hinduism in India, it is very misogynic. Women are sex-objects in all their religious texts and her job is to please men through seduction.

Rape is heinous crime and needs to be punitive actions need to be taken in expedited judicial process, in this case such bail being granted is truly unfortunate and regrettable.

Now to address the respected members on this thread, who have made it their mission to dubb "rape" as a character trait of India, I hope the moderators would take note of. @Dubious @waz given there are multiple posts on the thread which malign a nationality for the criminal actions of some, akin to an entire population being dubbed terrorists for an act of few, I hope some action would be taken on the thread. Given there are just 5 pages hopefully it won't be too much of an effort to expect some moderating activity?

For those who have a bit of issues with mathematics, before dubbing india into any "expletive" capital, there are close to 10 million tourists visiting India every year, take all of the issues and calculate a percentage. If the numerical outcome is enough to dubb India as a rape capital or whatever, hopefully, the moderating team would allow similar calculation for other monikers for other respective nations too?

You expect too much from this place (understandable since how it was before in better times has been told to me by quite a few).

Have half your country cleaved away by some big baddy (who you desperately wanted to be a super david against.... 1 of us = 1000 of them blah etc) and then we can see where the emotions stack up on total non-related subjects even 50 years later. Till then, just try your best at empathy on how that must be especially combined with bad education+upbringing+being social media/twitterati brats with too much time on hand + mounting failures, realities and desperation in current time frame. It would not be pretty for anyone. Just imagine what todays north america political scene would be like if CSA actually did cleave away for example...that too because of say some foreign intervention.

It is best to focus on further growing and strengthening stuff that matters in reality....and not pay too much heed to the immature drama going on in cocoons of irrelevant, weak people with too much chip on shoulder.
