Your probably don't know clothes are primarily Tradable goods.
Same-quality clothes in China will be sold cheaper than in India.
Same with Chinese phones in india.
Chinese phones also have low, medium and high end.
In india, low-end phones are preferred, whilst in china, medium-high end phones are preferred.
I estimate the average selling price in China will be around $300, supported by strong sales of middle-high ends phones such as Huawei P9 ($450-650), Oppo R9 ($370-$450) and many other domestic brands including VIVO and Xiaomi.
(of course, Apple's second biggest market is still China though no longer a top3 brand)

India, despite the self-proclaimed 400 or 600 million "middle class", is actually incredibly poor with very little purchasing power. Even if they want the expensive stuff, they simply can't afford it. Of course, when we think of the Indian "middle class", we are really talking about impoverished people by international standards. It's just like India's "semi-bullet train", which is really a very old and slow train with a new name.
